Zak POV:
"AARON'S VLOG!" My eyes flew open and I sat up quickly, hitting my head on the car window. "Owwwww," I whined, "did you need to need to do that in my ear?" Aaron, Billy, and Jay laughed hysterically as I noticed the camera in my face. I sighed and waved groggily at the camera, making them laugh even harder. I sat back against my seat until Aaron got bored and turned the camera off. "How much longer Billy?" He asked. "About 30 minutes." I plugged in my headphones and visualized our schedule for the day. We would arrive at Oakbury Hall in Virginia and tour the place, then we would do interviews and promo shots. After that, we had the rest of the day off, as we weren't doing our lockdown until the next night. I zoned out into my music, and before I knew it, I felt the car come to a stop and I took my headphones out. We stepped into the blinding light and I felt like a vampire, wanting to hiss at the sun. I reached back into the van and grabbed my sunglasses. Aaron and Jay picked up their cameras and we walked towards the door of the beautiful building. I pulled on the door. When it didn't open, I was confused. I pulled harder, but it didn't help. I pushed into it and it opened easily, and I could feel my face face turning red. "Wow Zak," Billy clapped slowly. We walked through the doors and saw two people standing near the entrance. One was a tall, heavier set man with ginger hair and a beard. The other was a girl, I'd guess in her mid-twenties with long brown hair and striking green eyes. "Hi guys! I'm Ross Carter, welcome to Oakbury," the man said. "I'm Zak Bagans. This is Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley," I said, motioning to each of my team members. I glanced back up at the girl, who I briefly locked eyes with before she quickly diverted hers. "This is Bella Heron. She'll be giving you the tour of the building. She's also one of the people who has continuous experiences here." "Hi, I'm a huge fan of y'all's," she said awkwardly. "Really? That's awesome!" I replied. I smiled at her and she returned it with a shy grin and a nod. "Nice to meet you both." Aaron said. "Would y'all like to start?" Bella asked. "Sure!" I replied quickly. "Okay, y'all can follow me this way and we'll begin," she pointed down a hallway. She walked towards an elevator and hit the "up" button. Once the lift arrived, we all piled in. "So what drew y'all to this location?" Bella asked. "We've always heard stories about this place and its history and we decided to see for ourselves," I answered. "Why did you decide to work here?" I asked, trying not to sound nosy. "In high school I was a huge history nerd and I had read about this place, so I decided to visit. I did the tour and fell completely in love with this place. About halfway through my first tour, we were standing in the room that I'm taking y'all to now and I thought I saw a woman who was dressed like she was from the 50's walk past the door. I didn't say anything to the tour guide, though, because I was scared of embarrassing myself. Instead I mentioned that I had read about a suicide that had taken place in here, and asked if he could provide more detail than what I had read." As she continued, the elevator doors opened. Bella guided us to what looked like a spacious hotel suite. "Most of this floor was the artists' quarters. The room we're in now is the largest of the four, and was usually given to the lead singer. We don't use this room for anything except tours now, but y'all are welcome to lay on the beds and sit in the chairs. We just don't like strangers who might mess up the furniture," she said. "So what's the story with the woman you saw?" Aaron asked. "She had curled light hair. She is believed to be Sandra Adams, a popular local singer who committed suicide in the bathtub in there." She pointed to the bathroom. "It's said that she killed herself because her fiancé backed out of their marriage. She was utterly heartbroken. She slit her throat in the bathtub and when the staff found her, her fiancé James hung himself in the closet over there," she pointed again, "James wrote in his diary that his father refused to let him marry Sandra because his family did not respect the music industry. He also wrote that his father had threatened to hurt Sandra if James did not obey his father. People can sometimes heat Sandra calling out to James. Others have seen shadows and figures in this area," She finished. I walked around the room, exploring every detail and decoration. Once we had seen the entire room and bathroom, Bella lead us through the other rooms, showing us interesting pieces and telling stories of people that had been here. She lead us back downstairs, this time taking the stairs. "The spirit that is said to linger backstage, where we're headed now, is a small child who will sometimes pull on pants legs or feel small feet stepping on their toes. Nobody knows where this entity came from, but I have an idea." "And that would be...?" Jay questioned. "You'll see once we get there," she replied. Instantly my mind went to the word demon. They tend to pose as children to seem innocent and in need of help. If nobody knows where this entity originated, it's definitely a possibility. Bella lead us into the dressing rooms in the backstage area and suddenly I noticed her breathing change. She was no longer steadily breathing and relaxed, but panting a bit and looking stressed out. I walked up next to her and leaned down. "Are you ok?" I whispered. "Yeah... I'm.. Just... I don't like this part of the building. Do you feel that energy?" "I do, and I don't like it. There's something dark back here." "Yeah, and I lied about the experiences here. Well I didn't lie, I just didn't tell you everything. I wanted to see your honest reactions without having any preface. Back here, guests and artists get touched, pushed, and the occasional scratch. It's always the men who get hurt, though, and we don't know why. I even have a class A EVP," she replied. "Wow." Jay said, stunned at the energy as we continued walking, "this place gives me the creeps." "Can we listen to the EVP?" I asked Bella. "Of course, just not here. I don't want whatever's here to get angry." Bella finished the tour by taking us onto the stage. It was a breathtaking sight, and I could feel the pride that must come with performing here. "Is anybody performing here tonight?" I asked. "Yes, actually, I wanted to ask y'all about that. Hunter Hayes is performing tonight, and while I'm pretty sure y'all aren't into country, Ross has allowed me to get y'all in free. He's really an amazing performer though, and a cool guy from what I've seen. What do y'all think?" She replied, with a hopeful sparkle in her eye. "I've heard some of his stuff, actually. The song Invisible? It's really good. I was bullied as a kid and I can see that song helping kids who are like I was get through it all." I tried not to tear up as the painful memories of teasing and physical bullying. "I know how you feel." Bella said simply. "So would y'all like to come tonight? I'm going with or without y'all so it's your choice," Bella laughed, refocusing the subject. "I'll go!" I said. "Uh, I'll have to pass on that actually. After driving all day I'm just exhausted. I'll probably go back to the hotel and order room service," Billy declined. "I second that," agreed Jay. "I'll go with Zak and Bella. This Hunter Hayes guy intrigues me," Aaron countered. "Cool, do y'all want to meet for dinner first?" Bella offered. "Yeah!" I replied.
