A reflection on one's self leads to the realisation that *you* are not significant, reflection on us all leads to the realisation that nothing is significant, and a mirror leads to the realisation that you need an extra hour of preparation before leaving the house. Slushi, standing in front of the mirror was panicking as the clocks tick audibly shoves the passage of time down her throat; she had slept in, *again*. Not having time to leave as her best self, she throws on her only group of clean presentable clothes; inspecting herself in the mirror the mint green fox pulls her leggings a into a less problematic position and fixes her trench coats' collar. Somewhat presentable before she walks out, she grabs a fedora off of what she can only assume was meant to be a key hook. She then walks out of her tiny apartment into a hall lined with a dark green wall paper, the doors had poorly painted steel door labels which although the metal had long succumbed to the rust could still be recognised as having been painted gold at some point. Slushi got used to the decrepit state of this building, but she never liked it; Fwy always seemed to have a slight problem with Slushis' stance on independence. Sometimes the allure of an easy way out is tempting for Slushi, but she hasn't caved yet; although something tells her that Fwy isn't going to let their¿ earlier conversation lay dormant; Fwy is like that, incredibly aggressive/insistent but in the end they mean well, an immortal being with the power to grant wishes is of course going to try and help those friends whom need it. Slushi walking down the stairwell tips her hat to Mrs. Pop and Mrs. Pop smiles, the walk to the mail area is a dreadful one as she knows that there will be at least one bill that will require her very limited resources. Upon reaching the mail box Slushi grabs the three letters sent to her and puts them in her pockets, but not before noticing one letter being addressed from Fwy; Slushi hurriedly power walking down to the bus stop opens and reads the letter.
Dear Slushi
I have noticed that recently we haven't gotten together as a group in quite
some time. We will be meeting at a nearby restaurant by the name of "the
fractured shell" next Tuesday you WILL be there.
♡ Fwench Fwy
Stepping onto the bus, Slushi almost forgets to pay the bus fare; she hasn't been this tired in a while, but the promise of shared time is an encouragement to fix the destructive state she is living in.
Slushi folds the letter and places it in her pocket, maybe today won't be as bad as she thought, but then again, this is only the beginning, an introduction.
