1. I dump your ass!

El and Mike were inseparable. The word inseparable would be an understatement especially after the revelation that El was alive and staying under hiding with Hopper. The days that followed after El and Mike's reunion were the days filled with sloppy kisses and daily makeout sessions. The teen couple were drunk in love and would not spare a minute for other party members. They felt whole when together and would start missing each other even if they separated for a minute.

Mike had turned into a morning person after reuniting with El. He made sure to reach Hopper's cabin by 8 am everyday. El and him would spend rest of the day by watching movies, goofing around, snuggling each other, making out and lots of making out. They did this all of the summer. However, today was an exception.

El was impatiently walking across the cabin as she waited for Mike unaware of the fact that Hop, her dad, had threatened Mike upon spending too much of time with El. Mike had promised El to take her to the newly launched Starcourt Mall for shopping before their school reopened. It was going to be El's first time being in the school officially as a student. She was nervous and excited for this new beginning with Mike and wanted to be as ready as possible for this. She glanced at the clock which was now showing that it was 12 'o'clock clock. With the last bit of patience left in her body, she dialled Mike's number. Mike was soon enough to answer the phone.

"Hello, this is the Wheeler's", Mike spoke through the phone.
"Michael Wheeler, where have you been? It is over four hours. I miss you and I want to see you now!!!, El whined.

Mike felt giddy upon hearing El's voice. He wanted to see her, hug her, snuggle with her all day and kiss her till he couldn't breathe. However, he remembered how Hopper had threatened him the other night and to say the least he was really afraid of Hop. So, Mike Wheeler lied to the love of his life. He lied about his grandma being sick and how he would not be able to meet El and take her to the Mall. He lied about going to visit his grandma to the hospital when all he was going to do was visiting the Mall with the boys.

El definitely thought that something was not right with Mike after he had hung up on her. She terribly missed Mike and couldn't keep her mind away from his thoughts. All she needed was to stay close to him, her safe haven. Soon, her mind started making scenarios of Mike being bored from her, Mike not wanting her anymore, Mike finding someone pretty than her. That was it, she thought. She needed to talk to someone and who could be better than Max Mayfield.

El had reached Max's place. Max was shocked to see El without being unaccompanied by Mike at first but soon understood the scenario after seeing a worried El. Max was fully aware that Mike had lied to El about visiting the hospital and was instead chilling out at the starcourt mall along with Lucas, Dustin and Will.

"Well El, it seems like your boyfriend has lied to you. I am so sure that he is at the mall with Lucas and other guies", Max stated as a matter of fact.
" But, friends don't lie", El stated innocently.
"Yaa well, but boyfriends lie and they lie all the time", Max stated rolling her eyes.
" You know what, we should give them their own medicine. Let's dump their ass", Max added.

Soon after, Max dragged El along with her to the mall. After all, El needed to shop few dresses before the school started and find Mike. El was pretty shocked and in awe after taking in the massive structure standing in the form a mall in front of her. She had never been to such a big crowded place before. She was nervous but also filled with excitement to gain this new experience. With her hands holding Max's, she entered the place in awe. The place was big and colorful. She was taking a liking to it which was now being reflected in here ear to ear smile. Max and El ran over the place in excitement. They were done with shopping and were having fun, El was having fun. She was able to take her mind off Mike for a moment.

The duo were now standing in a fancy shop. A purple knee length dress had caught El's eyes. She was wondering how would she look into it and how would Mike react upon seeing her in that dress. She had decided that she was going to buy the dress and would wear it on the first day to school. She took the dress off the rack and just when she was admiring the soft silk like fabric, the dress was snatched from her grasp and was now in the hands of a blonde girl. El and Max snapped their necks in the direction of the blonde girl questioningly who was smirking back their way. Mike and the other boys entered the shop before the girls could question the blonde of her act. El's attention was on Mike now. She went forward in the direction of Mike to confront him with Max trailing behind her.
"MIKE", El shouted her boyfriends name causing him and the others to turn their heads in her direction. Mike's sould had left his body upon hearing El's voice. He started questioning his existence at the very moment.
" Oh El, I.. I... I", Mike couldn't form words in his mouth.
"You what Mike? You lied to me? El asked him in a serious tone.
" I I a-am sorry El, Hop threatened me to stop seeing you regularly" Mike responded.
"I don't care what Hop said to you, You said friends don't lie" El replied.
"I was worried for you, I was worried that you don't want to see me anymore and I missed you" El added while Mike held his head hung low.
Meanwhile, Max was amazed to see this side of El.

"El please give me a chance to explain. I didn't mean to make you worry. I-I missed you too but I was too afraid to speak that Hop threatened me" Mike said with pleading eyes. El's anger was long gone by now but she decided to take this a little further to tease her lover. "I don't need your apology, I-I-I dump your ass" El stated and left the shop with an amazed Max trailing behind her and leaving Mike along with the other boys with their mouth hung wide open.

The girls broke into fits of laughter as soon as they walked out the shop. They could not help but laugh by remembering the shocked faces of the boys. The purple dress and the blonde girl who snatched the dress from her hand now long forgotten. The moment now replaced with thoughts of what Mike would do next in order to get his girlfriend back. El was excited. She could not wait to go back to Mike's embrace. However, El and Max had failed to notice the blonde girl from the shop who had witnessed El dumping Mike's ass with a huge smile on her face. After all, the blonde was back in Hawkins to get her childhood crush to like her and the only thing that was stopping her was the girl named El.
