They were having a nice night. School had ended several hours ago and the two were just hanging out on top of their favorite hill, talking for hours on end. All was peaceful... Well, until Eda leaned over to kiss Raine, who flinched away.
"I'm sorry" Eda quickly apologized, feeling guilty for seemingly having made her friend uncomfortable. "I'm sorry, Raine. I thought-"
"No, it's okay!" the bard quickly assured. "I liked the thought, I just- Oh Titan, this is embarrassing..."
"What is it?"
"I've never kissed anyone before" Raine admitted, avoiding the ginger's gaze. Eda's expression softened.
"Can I be your first?"
"Don't word it like that"
"You know what I mean" Eda insisted with an eye roll.
After a moment, Raine nodded and shut their eyes, anxiety curling in their gut as they felt the unfamiliar sensation of Eda's lips against their own for a brief moment before the girl pulled away. They slowly opened an eye to see Eda looking at them with a kind smile. All they could manage was a small "Wow"
"'Wow' indeed, Rainstorm"
