A/N : I went with a Human AU + Florist/Tattoo Artist AU. Also this is kinda way fluffier and romantic than what I usually write (author is aroace lol) but it was fun regardless
Eda ran a flower shop and two doors down was a tattoo parlor. These were two facts of life that typically wouldn't have any overlap, except for the fact that the person who ran the tattoo shop always ate breakfast in the café that separated the two shops at the same time that Eda did.
They were nice on the eyes too. Mint green hair with streaks of silver from their age, rounded glasses that made their very lovely green eyes look slightly bigger, a long earring dangling from their right ear, and a red tattoo on their wrist that appeared to be a stylized lyre or harp. Eda wasn't sure which one of these features made them so attractive to her- Or if it was a combination of all of it- But she found herself walking over to where they were seated and sat across from them.
"Hey" she greeted them with a small smile that the tattoo artist couldn't help but return.
"Hi" they replied. "You run the flower shop, right?" they asked, getting a nod in response. "Good on you for that. The world needs more people who care for plants like that. My name's Raine, by the way"
"Edalyn" Eda replied. "Eda for short"
"Nice to meet you, Eda" Raine said with a cheery smile. Honestly, Eda had slightly expected them to be standoffish or cold, just because of the aesthetic and personality she typically associated with tattoos and those who gave them, but they were actually a very warm person. It was nice. "Can I buy you a coffee?"
"You don't need to-"
"My treat" Raine cut her off with their hands raised in surrender. "Plus, you look tired" they added, getting a snort and a laugh in response, and God, they'd never heard a sound they liked so much.
"Okay, I'll bite" Eda caved. "I like their cinnamon latte"
"Alrighty, Eda" they replied as they stood up to go to the counter. "One cinnamon latte coming up for the pretty florist from two doors down"
"You think I'm pretty?" Eda asked, but Raine just went a little red and speed-walked over to the counter to get the latte. Eda couldn't help but smile with fascination as she watched them. Who would've thought?
