Creepy Magician

"Thanks for the ride." Aiyana muttered as she hopped off of a rundown boat and handed a wad of cash to the creepy old pilot.

The old man immediately started to flip through the large bundle of cash, smiling to himself that he got so much money for such a simple task. And eventually, after looking at his spoils, the old man noticed Aiyana curiously looking around the dock and got an idea.

"You know I could show you around the harbor if you want, little lady. But it's going to cost you more than money." The creepy man proposed as he got an evil look on his face.

Annoyed, Aiyana turned her head to look at the man before she glared at him menacingly, "Don't push your luck old man." she spat as she shot some of her bloodlust at him.

The seriousness of Aiyana's voice and the force of her bloodlust caused the man's smile to turn swiftly into a frown, as he apologized and then undocked his boat. In response, Aiyana rolled her eyes at him and turned her attention back to the many people walking around the harbor. Dolle harbor was definitely busier than Aiyana imagined, but she didn't mind much. She was too focused on the reason she came here in the first place...the Hunter's exam. While in another town, Aiyana had overheard that the Hunter's exam was a test where only the strongest and smartest people could pass. And, if you did end up passing, you would receive something called a Hunter's license. The license itself was enough to go anywhere you wanted in the world, free of charge. But what Aiyana was most fascinated with, was how many opportunities for fighting that taking the exam and having the license offered. Ever since coming out of the cave Aiyana had been itching for a fight. So, she immediately collected all the money she could and caught a ride with that creepy man, just so she could try her hand at this infamous test.

As Aiyana walked across the docks, she was getting excited as she thought of how many powerful people she was about to face. Just the possibility of being able to go head-to-head with anyone that had just a little bit of skill, was enough to cause Aiyana's bloodlust to ignite and stir around in her chest violently. And honestly, even if Aiyana didn't hear about all the benefits the exam would offer, she still would have taken the test just for a chance to fight.

"Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get to fight someone today." Aiyana smirked as she turned her attention back to the task at hand.

After snapping herself out of her malicious thoughts, Aiyana adjusted her backpack and then started to walk to a billboard that was in the middle of the harbor. As she looked at the board for clues as to where the Hunter's exam would be held, Aiyana suddenly heard a group of people talking to each other, and it sounded like their conversation was about the exam. Curiously, Aiyana looked over to see who they were. And when she did, she noticed a tall man with a suit and a briefcase, a teenager with blonde hair and loose-fitting robes, and a young boy with spiky hair and a fishing rod.

"What a weird looking group." Aiyana said to herself as she leaned her head to the side to hear their conversation better.

While listening in closer, Aiyana was fascinated when she suddenly heard the young boy speak up. "The captain said to head towards that big cedar tree to get to the exam. So, that is what I am going to do." the boy exclaimed as he looked at the tall man with a look of determination in his eyes.

"Hmm, a giant cedar huh?" Aiyana hummed to herself as her eyes landed on a giant tree that was sitting on top of a forested mountain.

"Well, I guess I'll head there then."

After making it through a town where she was asked an extremely underwhelming and easy question in her opinion, Aiyana had finally made it to the forest. While running through the forest at a swift and steady pace and weaving her way through the tall trees that surrounded her, Aiyana was abruptly stopped in her tracks when she suddenly heard someone crying in the distance.
