The Dinner

Ethan sat at the restaurant table. He was wearing his suit. He was waiting patiently as he looked at the view. He knew she would arrive. She always arrives one way or another. The new Sara was a bit different though... As he looked into the sea he heard footsteps approach him. Sara walked to the table wearing a black suit with a red tie. Ethan smiled softly seeing her ring on her finger "No body guards?" She sat down "I know you're not an idiot Ethan... but i do wonder the reason for why you showed. Is this all an act of pure desperarion or did you think thid was not a set-up?" She had steepled hands as she looked at him. "It's an act of love. Why did you invite me if yiu didn't think i'd show?" Sars looked down a bit "Because i... Missed you. Why are you doing this Ethan? Stopping providence. We are helping the world." Ethan sighed "I'm doing this because... i think, you need someone to stop you... what you're doing is madness. This is not you Sara. This is not who i fell in love with..." She had a cold look in her eyes but a friendly smile "Ethan... I'm planning on bringing balance to the world. Providence can do quite a lot to achieve that. The things i can do can turn politics into just a mask for what really goes on. An ex-DedSec operative has high chances of hacking into servers and getting ways for providence to achieve their goals as well. We were good, but Providence is better. We'll keep the world neutral Ethan... No kings, no presidents, nothing. We'll keep things in control without the hassle of politics. And starting with the u.s helps." He sighed "Darling... Your new life comes with the cost of your old one. What if you are found out with evidence? You'll go behind bars for life." She had stopped smiling "If i get caught that is. And i always have a way to leave. All i need is a private jet and a new name. Not like Spectre is gonna find me." He didn't seem too proud of her. "What you did to Spectre made sense but it was fully illegal. He was supposed to stay as a prisoner and you put 4 bullets in him. You should have left him to rot. He deserves worse than death." She carefully held his hand on the table "Ethan... With or without you we'll rule this world. There is nothing you can do to stop me. You can come with me or stay with DedSec. Me or them, Ethan..." He looked down a bit "I have to think about this all... And normally you hated people with power. Now you wish to become power itself." She didn't seem to have evil intent at any point. She just had her own vision of the world and Providence caused it. "I will use providence to help the world from chaos. So much will be solved thanks to us. DedSec will stay unharmed if you let us do what we need to do, okay? I love you, but this has to happen." He looked at her "I'll think about your offer, but... Can we have a normal dinner, like we used to before all this? Just you and me chatting?" She smiled "Sure. I really miss you... I remember barely anything but all of our moments together i can't forget. First kiss, Engagement, Meeting Nathan and Sam, wedding... I remember all of that..." He smiled a bit "Some things can't be forgotten... Let us eat?" She nodded "Let us eat." As the two ate, a nearby table was occupied by agent 47. He was staring at Bryan in another table. The two looked like they were about to start a shootout. They stood up and walked face to face. Bryan spoke "That woman is my key to finding a legendary android. They are hiding among you." 47 stared at him with his dead expression "So be it. Turn around. You don't want to start this." Bryan pointed at a door "Wanna take this outside?" 47 looked even more serious "Do you?" Bryan nodded. The two left the restaurant as expected. Sara and Ethan were having fun it seemed. Wonder if anyone else is having fun...

At DedSec, Artemis was playing the piano, while Sam was writing something "You're really good at that." Artemis smiled "Thanks. Years of practice." Sam chuckled "I wish i could play an instrument... My talents are digging dirt and being an emotional support girlfriend." Artemis stopped and walked to her "You're the best emotional support girlfriend ever." She hugged her. Sam hugged her back "You think we'll defeat providence?" Artemis nodded "If i know this crew and 47, we'll get it done just like that. 47 and diana beat Providence once, and with our help it'll be even easier." Sam kissed her on the cheek "You're retired. You really shouldn't keep going. You'll et a burnout." Artemis shook her head "I owe 47 a big time. If it wasn't for him i wouldn't be an-" Sam shushed her "Hey... I'm just suggesting. You do what you think is best. I trust you Artie." She gritted her teeth "Well... Life has always been so hard for me, that i think i should just start over with a different approach." Sam held her hand "Artie. The devil only comes after thosr who are doing something right. The devil wants bad stuff to happen and by setting obstacles they are preventing you to do things right. Maybe you're right where you should be. But i wouldn't know." Artemis looked at her "I used to be called the devil... I showed up, did my job leaving but evil behind and left. I don't want to be the devil again. I don't want to be 404." She tried not to tear up. Sam smiled in a way that would easen anyone's feeling "Artie. Your life can be whatever you want it to be. All you need to do is find a direction. I trust you'll find it."
