(A.N- so i see you decided to stick around even after my cliff hanger. Well that's awesome! I hope you enjoy chapter 2! And glad I didn't lose ya there 😉)
I crawled back as far as I could from the man. I had no idea what was about to happen to me. My mind started to race with many questions. Who was this man? Why did he choose me off all people?
There's no time for questions! I thought to myself in a hurry. I scooted back further only to have the cold pavement wall prevent me from doing so. I gripped to the wall like my life depended on it... Because it truly did...
End flash back
****I snapped out of my flash back as soon as I heard police sirens in the distance. I began to regain my senses and quickly snuffed out the fire I had sat.
"Shit did they find me?! Did someone see me out here?!" I wondered out loud.
"No time for games or questions I gotta get out of here!" I huffed quickly.
I turned on my heals quickly and sprinted away from my once burning fire. I turned my head back twords the way I came. I saw the faint lights of a cop car right at the edge of the woods. Soon after I saw the lights I heard their doors slamming shut and them shouting into the woods.
"Come out kid!" One deep voice boombed through the woods. "We know your in here!" A second slightly high pitched voice called out. Their voices echoes through the woods bouncing off the of trees and then slowly fading away.
I whipped my head back to watch where I was running at and quickly ducked my head quickly, almost hitting my head on a low hanging branch from a tree I passed. "Fuck that was close. I coulda lost my head there" I muttered to myself.
I continued to dodge branches and bushes, jumping over fallen trees until I could no longer hear the shouts of the cops. I decided it was safe enough to catch my breath for a few seconds. I stood there my mind slowly catching up with what was happing.
"How did they find me? No one was around was there?" I thought out loud my breathing still heavy, and stagered. I was once again pulled out of my thoughts when I heard a snap of a branch near by.
Who ever was coming sure as hell wasn't quite about it. I snapped my head in the direction the sound came from.
It came from where I fled the cops and my fire...

Coles POV
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! The cops are on my tail! I knew I should have waited until dark. He thought furiously at himself. He turned down a dark alleyway sprenting at full speed. The sound of his shoes slapping puddles as he ran echoed through the alleyway.
Police sirens walked on a nearby street. He saw the light reflecting off of a puddle and quickly sucked behind some trash cans and waited for them to pass by the alley he was hiding in.
Cole stood up and ran his boney hand through his tick brown curls. "Damn it! I have no way out of here. If I don't move fast they'll catch my ass and throw me into prison" he thought out loud with a frustrated growl.
He should have definitely waited until dark. Then he would have been able to move in the shadows. But no. His stupid eagerness to get some money took over and he went then and there.
Cole suddenly remembered that he saw a tree-line not to far from the place he robbed. He cursed at himself for not taking that way immediately. But nothing he can do about it now.
He turned on his heals and ran the way he came. Cole knew the place would be swarming with cops, but he had to take that chance. If he stayed in town the cops would find him in no time. He needed cover and lots of it.
He turned the corner and went through another alleyway. He did this at least ten more times. But after a few minutes of back-tracking the small Mini-Mart he robbed came into view.
Like he thought cops were all over that place. He spotted the tree-line only a few blocks away from the Mini-Mart. There was a slight problem. He has to get through the cops to even get to the tree-line.
He stepped out of the alleyway he was hiding in and walked in the opposite direction. His plan was to go up and iver hoping he won't run into anymore cops at the way to the tree-line. This will the the safest route he thought to himself.
He was wrong... Oh so very wrong..
