----3rd PoV, Open sea----
It has been 21 years since Emerald had hatched, and 19 since all the hatchlings had become independent and left the nest. Emerald had been swimming the outskirts of some island, grazing on whatever schools of fish were nearby. By this point, he had mostly grown into a titanic monster, even by Dromitaur standards.
His horns had grown to be over 24 meters (82 feet) long, and to be as strong as a mountain, while his nubs had become massive green and teal flippers as big as it's tailfin. Discounting his horns, his body has grown as well, now reaching a horrific 219 meters (718.1 feet) long. At this point, instead of the standard single flock of seagulls following him, he had a white cloud of feathers constantly above him.
'These bloody seagulls are so irritating' The sea bull though, flicking water upwards with his tail attempting to knock at least a few of the bottom feeders out of the air, bellowing angrily when the majority dodge the sea spray. Diving deeper into the sea to escape the mocking chatter of the gulls. Swimming quickly back up to try and eat some of them. To its surprise, It did manage to lift more than half its body out of the water and catch a few of them.
Meanwhile, not to far away was the Journey, a money starved hunting ship in desperate need for a beast to slay, and a horn to carve out. Captain Biskip, an amateur in the business was pivoting off his bow with his spyglass in hand. After over 3 hours of searching, he saw it; A leviathan bigger than any he's ever gazed upon!
He vaguely recalls what species it was: A fearsome Dromitaur, the goliath sea bull! Quite powerful, and went for quite a hefty price! He ain't ever seen a green one though, so maybe that would garter a bigger price! "on our starboard lads, a Dromitaur! Get to your stations, and prepare for combat! Were taking this thing head on!"
A single flair was fired in the direction of the behemoth, easily catching its attention. It dives down, and after getting a bit closer, jumps out of the sea again, releasing a furious bellow as its body clashes with the sea and creating a mini tsunami. After the wave hits the ship and knocking a few of the crew over the railing.
Seeing the ship bob up and down and being such an oh-so tempting target, began swimming in circles, slowly gaining speed. On the Journey's deck, the crew were all attempting to shoot the big devil, while the other did everything they could to help their overboard brothers and sisters in arms. "Blast it! Load all carrion shot and aim for its fins! If we can tear them up, we could reduce how fast its going! The rest of ye, get the sailors overboard back up here!"
A bunch of explosive pellets boom towards the sea titan, burning and scorching its underside, the tips of its fins sizzling. 'Before, I was irritated, now I'm furious!' Emmy thinks, no longer spinning, but now charging towards the vessel at such a speed the tides split behind it, revealing only the red tipped horns, of a very, very angry bull.
"To the sides! The Journey nor we wont be able to take a hit from the devil's spears! Brace for impact!!" Biskip shouts out, hugging a barrel like his life depends on it. But It wouldn't matter in the end as just before Emerald hit them, it jumped upwards and faced downwards, redirecting his charge right down the center, its horns piercing the captain's quarters and the bow right before its bony maw cleaved right through the middle of them.
After all had been done, and the ship had been completely sunk, Emerald took a few minutes to admire his handiwork. His first Hunting ship, completely and utterly wrecked. If Mother were here to see this, she'd be sure to be proud of his accomplishment. He thought back to his siblings; Lazy Log, whom had often fallen asleep on his back, to Sunshine whom had always laughed with him, to innocent Glynda whom found ridiculous joy in making seaweed crowns for him and her siblings, and to always bitter Ruby.
