Uni Pt9

-Nicks pov-
I can't believe I thought Dean had a crush on me. I'm such an idiot. Anyway he's actually really good at rugby (,way better than Charlie.) He's also really nice I think we'll be really good friends in the future.

-Charlies pov-
I called Nick that night and complained about my day without him. He laughed and told me he wished I was there. I really wish we were the same age, then we wouldn't have to be separate for all these months. My 18th birthday was in a few weeks and if I'm being honest I'm not excited. Nick can't come. He said he wished he could but he has a really important rugby game he can't miss. He also told me about how Dean wanted help with rugby. I thought it was kind until I realized Nick did the exact same thing to me. Maybe Nick didn't have a rugby game, he just didn't want to be around me. I silently cried myself to sleep trying to get the intrusive thoughts to go away.

-Nicks pov-
I do have a rugby game over the Charlies birthday but luckily it's in my home town meaning I'm going to see Charlie. I may have told him I'm not coming for dramatic effect. I do feel kinda bad for lying to Charlie tho.
Dean was gittery a lot but I guess it's just nerves? I also need to get an amazing gift for Charlie since he's turning 18. I can't believe Charlies nearly 18 it feels like I only just met him.
I'm still helping Dean with rugby and he's getting really good. (Way better than Charlie.)

-Charlies pov-
I feel like shit. Nick can not come to my birthday and Tori and Micheal are on the other side of the country so they aren't coming. Mum and Dad invited their parents over on both sides. Apparently it's because the family will "always" love me and I can't run away like I have the last few christmases. They still don't know I'm gay. Mum and Dad sat me down and told me "I don't think it's a good idea to come out to them." They said it's because they're "old fashioned." What about my wedding (hopefully with Nick) will they just either be really surprised and hopefully not ruin it or not come.
Oliver came in my room and dove at me. "RAWR I'VE COME TO EAT YOU!" He screams as he thumps onto the bed. "When is Nick coming next? I can't wait to show him my new truck!" He had been saving up his pocket money for months now and he finally had enough to buy it. "I don't know when Nick is coming." I say sadly. I swear he's off cheating on me while I'm stuck in this shitty town but oh my god I love him so much.

-Nicks pov-
I can't wait to see Charlie. I bet he'll be ecstatic when I turn up. I also thought I could introduce him to my rugby mates and come out to them. I know it'll be Charlies special day but it'll be 5 minutes and the rest of the day will be focused on him.

*Authors note*
Again I'm really sorry I'm barely writing anything but I had the motivation of heartstopper this time playing in the background. I'll try to keep consistent and I'll be writing the surprise and something else in the next part. Also 100 views on part 1. That's insane! Tysm. ❤️❤️
