CHAPTER ONE ━━━ We Only See Eachother At Weddings And Funerals

"Five, are you absolutely sure you know what you're doing? Because I swear to god if you get us stuck in time I'm going to kill you." The glare on the woman's face was deadly as she watched Five get ready to time travel.

"Yes Indigo, I know what I'm doing." Five snapped back while Indigo scoffed at his reply picking at the material of her black skirt when all of a sudden a blue portal appeared in front of her and a grin appeared on her face. Five stuck out his hand gesturing towards Indigo to which she grabbed his hand in response. "Let's hope I didn't screw this up" she heard Five mutter causing a sinking feeling in her stomach as they leapt through the blue portal.

The feeling of the ground beneath Indigo made her relax for a split second until she heard the voice of a man above her.

"Does anyone else see little Number Five And some other random chica or is that just me?"

'Chica?' Indigo though before turning to look at Five and that's when she understood the man's words.

"Shit" The pair spoke together.

Indigo fiddled with her now oversized skirt and sweater as she watched Five pace around the kitchen picking up ingredients for a sandwich.
"What's the date? The exact date" he asked to his family. Five's family eyed him before one of his sisters answered with the 24th, Five stood beside Indigo before asking "Of what?" To which the same girl responded March.

"Good" was all Five said before handing Indigo two slices of bread and a knife as she set up to make herself a sandwich.

"So, are we gonna talk about what just happened? And uh, why you have a girl with you?" The big one said giving a glance to Indigo causing the girl to give an tight lipped smile.

Five simply ignored the man making Indigo kick his shin which Five also ignored. "It's been  17 years!" The big guy exclaimed while standing up, Five scoffed before squaring up to his brother and replying, "It's been a lot longer than that."

Five then spatial jumped behind his brother making him comment, "I haven't missed that" Indigo muttered just loud enough to everyone's eyes to turn to her again, "You never get used to it huh"

Looking up from her two slices of bread she quickly introduced herself, "I'm Indigo by the way, I would say nice to meet you all but given the circumstances.." Five's family gave no verbal acknowledgment to her introduction but simply a small nod which was good enough for Indigo.

"Where'd you go?" Another one of Five's brothers said, he seemed a bit edgier than the big one in Indigo's eyes.

"The future, It's shit by the way"

"Called it!" The one in the skirt called out causing Indigo to snort quietly to herself.

"I should've listened to the old man. You know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice." Five mused handing Indigo some marshmallows and peanut butter making the girl look at him in disgust but putting on her two slices of bread reluctantly.
