2. The Party

Elena and Dani parked in front of the huge house. It looked scary. Like it belonged in a horror movie. It had dark green vines crawling up the sides. It's brick path was falling apart. Elena shook off the uncomfortable feeling she got and immediately got distracted by the loud music and bright flashing lights. Dani grabbed her hand and dragged her inside. Elena entered looking around at all the people she knew. She saw the blonde girl with her friend again. Elena rolled her eyes. Her eyes then landed on the table with all the alcohol. "Come on Dani," Elena said pulling her over to the table. Dani just smiled in agreement. Elena grabbed herself a drink and a drink for Dani. "I wanna dance," Elena moaned. "Then let's dance!" Dani cheered. She grabbed Elena's wrist and they went out to the dance floor. They danced for a little when Elena went over to get another drink. And then another. And then another. An hour into the party, Elena couldn't have been drunker. "Daneyyyyy," she said trying to get her friends attention. When Dani didn't respond Elena got bored of just hanging around. She walked over to the alcohol table again and grabbed three drinks. She handed one to Dani smiling then held the other two drinks in her hands. She downed them both then continued to dance. Immature, drunk Elena, got bored of doing the same thing so she left the building. She went out to the backyard where the party was continuing. She saw all of the school druggies. Vicki Donovan and all of her friends. Elena looked around for someone else when she heard someone call out.

"Hey you!" a drunken voice called. Elena turned. She pointed to herself in question. "Yeah you! Come here!" they called Elena walked over. "You ever smoke before?" the person asked holding out a lit blunt. Elena looked at it. If she weren't drunk she would have known better and would have lied and said yes but she didn't know better considering how much alcohol she had consumed. She quickly shook her head. "Then come sit down baby come have fun with us!" he said. Elena looked around to see a bunch of drunk and stoned people making out. Elena sat down next to the guy and looked at the lit paper in his hand. He smoked it then handed it to Elena. She rolled it in her fingers then looked at him. He took her hand with the blunt in it he took it and put it between her lips. She inhaled it and coughed. He laughed at her. "No no no baby, like this," he showed her once more then came really close to her face and blew the smoke between her lips. That sent tingles up her spine. Just as she took it from him about to do it, Dani stormed out.

"ELENA MARIE GILBERT!" she said taking to from her, threw it to the ground and smothered it with her heel.

"Hey that-" the guy started but was interrupted by Dani.

"Chill dude, my friend here isn't in her right mind. If she were sane right now she would be laughing at herself for being seen with you," Dani said pulling her away. Elena held a fake phone up to her ear mouthing 'call me.' "No, don't," Dani corrected Elena and pulled her back inside. "I think it's time you go home, or at least my house for you to sober up." Dani said holding Elena's shoulders so she was looking at her.

"Hm how about, no," Elena said crossing her arms and pouting.

"Lena, come on," Dani complained grabbing Elena's wrists.

"Only if you catch me!" Elena said breaking out of the grasp and she ran.

"Elena!!" Dani called sighing and chasing after her friend.

Elena ran back into the main room. She ran into the crowd of people dancing and joined them. She cautiously
looked around for her friend. She saw her pink shirt from far and moved deeper into the crowd. When she couldn't move any closer she saw Dani meet eyes with her. Dani sighed and walked a little faster towards Elena. Elena exited the crowd and looked around for somewhere to hide.

There was an old bar on the side of the room that had shots lined up along it. Elena sat at the bar with a bunch of insanely drunk guys and joined them for a few rounds of shots.
