Maxine's pov
I get better and Luke awkwardly asks "can you come with me to see my parents?" I nod getting up and we poof to the house to see Julie. She tells me "we haven't bonded much and I understand why you feel the way you are...but I want you in the band. I want to see what you got and I want to be friends. Please" I nod "sure?" She tells his mom who she is and what she has.

Luke sings unsaid emily crying and I hold his hand still finding myself putting him before me. We poof out to Julie's and I hug him to me and he kneels and hugs me around my waist his head on my stomach and I run my fingers in his hair and he cries "please don't leave me. I'm sorry. I'm so fuckin sorry pretty girl. I need you, I can't do this without you by my side as my equal. On stage by my side. I can't apologize enough for what I've done and how I hurt you but I can only do better now. Please" sobs ripping from his throat. It breaks my heart hearing him like this. It really does. I kneel and wipe his tears "I love you Luke. I always have and I know I always will...but all I feel now is pain, where love should be" he kisses me and begs "please. We have a new life. Start new with me. Please. I can't do this anymore without you"

I melt into him and we kiss. "Slow" I mutter and he nods "anything maxi you know that" we stand and Julie comes seeing us together. "Hey" she says gently and Luke refuses to let me go "hey" she apologizes for overstepping and he voices his regret for walking out on his parents

"Through it all I had maxi. And I took that for granted, another regret" he sighs. We're standing when she tells us the video is trending. Cool. She tells me "next performance I'd love to introduce you as our new member" I nod with a small smile and then we get a jolt. I buckle and puke more wincing and I cry out "Luke what is that?!" He explains it. And he holds my hair back. As I shake and cry out. "It's worse for her than it is for us. It's getting worse. I don't think she has a lot of time left"
