Cordelia storms back to the great hall feeling very tense. Why had she let a Slytherin get under her skin. He was so rude and cocky she angrily thought. It was almost the end of breakfast by the time she reaches the great hall again and tables had started mingling before classes started. Odessa was now over with The Marauders so Cordelia walks over and sits down huffing.

"What's up Delia?" Sirius asks from opposite her. The others look up at her wondering the same.

She snaps.

"Your brother is an annoying twat is what's up." She speaks sharply.

"I mean, sorry, I'm just in a bad mood and I bumped into him and he was rude is all." Cordelia says more calmly now as Sirius' face fell at the mention of his brother.

"Don't let him bother you, I promise you he means well, blame our parents they've probably turned him more sour since I ran away." Sirius says sadly.

"I'm sorry Sirius I didn't mean to be rude I'm exhausted." She responds running her hand through her messy hair.

"It's okay! You know what will cheer you up?" Sirius speaks mischievously looking at James.

"I got word from a 7th year  that there's a party tonight in the room of requirement!" James exclaims excitedly.

"And we're going with them!" Odessa adds.

"Really Odessa, you want to go to a party?" Cordelia smiles at her friends enthusiasm.

"Yes okay. I'm tired of being boring! So we are going whether you like or not!"

"Fine, I could do with some fun." Cordelia responds knowing she needs to let of some steam ... okay a lot of steam.

Odessa whoops and high-fives Sirius and James,

"I'm keeping my eye on you." Remus chimes in laughing at his younger sisters excitement.

-

"Nude lip or Red lip?" Odessa asks.

"Red is sexy." Celeste says smirking as she applies her own red lipstick, she is probably known to be the sluttiest in their little gang.

"And who's on the agenda tonight Celeste?" Maisie asks wiggling her eyebrows.

"I'm feeling your sister Maisie." Celeste jokes.

"Ew shut up - I don't want to hear that." Maisie says clearly grossed out.

Odessa doubles over cracking up.

"Oi don't you laugh, how about I try my luck with Remus." Maisie winks jokingly to Odessa.

Odessa stops laughing.

"Oh god no please, I take back my laughter."

The girls continued to joke and laugh as they dress themselves up. Cordelia is wearing  a tight dark black dress with mesh lined under the cups. She applies some dark red lipstick and has already brushed through her hair allowing it to cascade freely down her back.

"We look hot." Celeste states as the four link arms and head down from their dorm ready to sneak their way to the party.

-

The best thing about the room of requirement is that the teachers were very unlikely to bust the party. It was set up gorgeously.... tables were to the sides of the room with presumably stolen fire whisky bottles on them. The Gryffindors were already dancing about the floor with the others houses joining in not long after.

"Fancy a drink?" A voice comes from behind Cordelia, and she turns round to see Archiebald, and smiles brightly at him.

"Sure why not Arch." She replies as the girls wiggle their eyebrows at her as she walks with him towards one of the drinks tables.

He pours her a shot of fire whiskey to which she necks, grimacing slightly at the strong taste.

"Slow down Cordelia" Archie jokes as he necks one as well.

"Oh what perfect prefects we are." Cordelia jokes back smiling at him.

Archibald was hot there was no denying it, but he was also sweet and kind and although he may think she was, she was sure she wasn't. No he was too nice to be dragged down by the house of Amulet. Feeling rather claustrophobic all of a sudden in the crowded room Cordelia decides she needs to get out of the crowded room for a moment.

"I need to pop to the loo, won't be a moment." Cordelia excuses herself and he nods back ever so politely.

"See you later perhaps" he suggests before she makes her way through the crowd.

She walks rather quickly out of the room of requirement and sneaks down another corridor, coming to a stop and leaning against the closest wall and taking a deep breathe. Socialising was hard, even more hard when you feared that anyone you got close to could potentially get hurt.
