Cordelia thanks the stars that she hadn't lay eyes on Regulus yet. At Breakfast she made sure to not even take a single glance at the Slytherin table, in fear that he would somehow be able read her thoughts. Luckily all her classes were without Slytherin too on this particular day (No ancient runes thankfully).

She let out a huge sigh as she reached the Ravenclaw common room by the end of the day, thankful that it was absolutely Regulus free. The common room itself was relatively empty at the moment, Odessa was at quidditch practice so she had time to waste.

"Cordelia?" A smooth yet shy voice says from the direction of plush blue velvet sofa.

Looking over to the voice she sees Archie looking towards her.

"Hey Arch" She responds nervously walking towards him and praying that her dorm mates mentioned nothing about her crush aka not real crush on him.

"The Halloween ball is in two days- and well- I just wondered- if perhaps you had a date?" Archie stumbles the sentence out nervously awaiting her answer.

Cordelia freezes on the spot, on one hand her parents would probably murder her if they found out she had a 'below standard' (in their eyes not hers) date, but on the other hand she rather liked defying them where she could and it also ties in well with the lie she'd told the girls that morning...

Plus Archie was cute she couldn't deny that, He has tousled brown curls that fall delicately on his lightly freckled face, gorgeous soft brown eyes that compliment his tan skin and he was slim but with muscular features apparent subtlety across his figure.

"Cordelia?" Archie says snapping her from her thoughts looking disappointed already.

"Sorry-Arch I've had a long day, I would love to go with you!" She says smiling at the now happy boy infront of her.

"Thew- Thank god you had me embarrassed for a moment there." He says in relief.

"Do you know the colour of blue your dress is? My outfits already been sent to me but I can charm the bow tie to match your dress?" He sweetly gestures.

It was a custom to wear the colour of your house to such events, one she hoped her parents would agree on sticking too.. but she hadn't yet heard from Makry about her dress since she owled a week or so ago.

"Um I need to quickly go Owl someone about it, I'll let you know as soon as possible.. - But hopefully a dark blue!!" Cordelia says loudly already speeding off to the Owlery. Her mind full of the potential outcomes ahead of her.

Perhaps Makry was assigned to just go get her one, Or her parents would send her a ghastly expensive over the top dress that screamed 'I'm a pureblood and proud'.... Or maybe they'd respect it and send her a nice blue dress and be done with it... Yeah probably not the last one... Cordelia sighs to herself as she approaches the Owlery.

She begins wording the letter together in her head as she climbs the stairs to the top. When she finally reaches the top of the tower she ducks under beam with about 5 Owl's on and walks over to one of the Hogwarts's own Owl's, like hell was she summoning her parents horrible Owl.

Pulling out a piece of parchment and a magic inkless quill (courtesy of being a prefect). She begins to write as neatly as possible.

"Made your decision then?" A low voice came from the shadows.

Regulus.

Cordelia could feel her cheeks heating up at the sight of him, thank fuck for the dark she silently thought.

"No. I'm a big fan of avoiding the problem until it goes away" Cordelia says matter-of-factly.

"How very un-Ravenclaw of you." Regulus replies an amused smirk on his face.

God he was beautiful, his chiselled jaw, his dark eyes contrasting his milky white skin-- Cordelia stops herself.

Taking another deep sigh and pushing down her hormonal thoughts, she looks at him annoyed.

"I think being a death eater would be far more 'Un-Ravenclaw of me' quite frankly" She snaps at him.

He puts his hands up in innocence, the smirk still apparent on his face.

"Feisty one you are, you know I much more preferred when moans were coming out your mouth"

Cordelia rolls her eyes, she feels hotter than a boiling cauldron.

"Oh shut-up. That was a mistake. Now if you don't mind I have a letter to write and you're distracting me." She snaps again, ignoring how hot and frustrated her body feels from his words.

"As you wish Cordelia." His voice was silky smooth as he utters her name, her mind wonders off about what he'd sound like moaning it—no Cordelia she says in her head rolling her eyes at him again and partially at herself .

He turns and leaves much to her relief, leaving her standing for a while collecting her thoughts and trying to focus her energy on the letter first and foremost.

She would handle her stupid teenage hormonal brain another day.
