Damn, I was hoping to open the shop earlier but King needed a walk. That dog always asked for way too much.

Then of course I had to have breakfast, who starts the day without breakfast? Kings waffles took slightly longer to make, but after they were done I was able to have an apple and a bagel.

Now I know what everyone says about not feeding you're dog human food. But I think he should be able to have whatever he wants... for breakfast. Breakfast only, I mean I wasn't trying to kill him. I just wanted him to be happier with food because those weird dog pebbles they call food look disgusting.

My second alarm went off, and I knew I had to get going. It was already almost 10!

My hand grazed the garage handle and I called for King. "King! Here boy!" The Border Collie came running, his claws making small taps on the tile floor.

I opened the garage door and let him enter first. Then I walked over to my tan Honda Civic Hatchback, which most people would say is a mistake. I think it's a very stylish car! I called him Owlbert. Again a lot of people judged me, but who was I to care what other people say.

This is my hot ride, and I can call it whatever I like. Besides after Lilith gifted me that carved owl, aka. Hooty, I've started to like owls.

I sat down and King hopped up into my lap then jumped into the back. "Ready to go I see?" The dog only looked at me in response and then plopped down yawning.

"Lazy dog," I muttered, my hand reaching for the gear while I turned the key. "Another day of life! Hopefully, it's actually interesting!"

When I said I wanted the day to go interesting I didn't mean a random door appearing in front of my car in the middle of the road.

How was that even possible?! The door was floating off the ground by at least a couple of inches, the door was open revealing a dark forest and a kid standing in front of the door.

Is it aliens?! Maybe I should have listened a little more to those crazy wackos like Jerry.

A huge flashing light engulfed the spot where the door was. "Holy shi-" My hands grabbed at my door trying to regain my vision. King was barking at something.

I finally found the handle to my car door and I swung the door open. "What in the hell was that?" Other people in their cars started to get out as well.

I got up, scanning the area where the door was. There sat a small teenager, with short dark hair and she was in a purple and white dress. A suitcase lay next to her.

"Get out of the road kid!" I yelled at the small teenager, and that's when I noticed the distinct difference in her. Her ears were pointy, and she was the same girl that was originally in the magical door.

I ran forward, people already had their phones out recording the encounter. I tried to shield my face, while also trying to get to the kid. Luckily my car was the closest since I stopped right in front of the magical door.

"Hey, kid!" The teenager snapped her head up and looked at me. She had hazel-brown eyes and they didn't look pleased.

"I'm not a child! Where am I?" The child demanded, standing up swiftly, her ears twitched. So those were real.

The teenager looked around and as soon as her eyes fell on the briefcase she kept forward, grabbing onto it and holding it to her chest. She also reached out and grabbed a staff, it had a small bat carving at the end.

"Well, are you going to answer me?!" The girl yelled, clearly annoyed at my lack of response.

Who was this girl?
