Kartik was annoyed. Which was making him very angry. He wanted to punch something or someone. And the reason was Kairav's mother. She had messaged him in the evening on the day he had met Kairav. He was so busy in the meeting that he had told her that he would talk to her later. But then a simple message had come from her.

Kairav's mother:- koi zarurat nahi hai, main bas itna keh rahi hoon, ki aaj ke baad na toh aap mere baache se contact kijiye aur na hi vo aapko contact karega. Aur na hi aap hamare ghar aayiega.

That's it. And true to her word. Kairav hadn't contacted him after that. He had tried to call back on Kairav's and his mother's number, but it was out of range each time he called. She must have blocked his number.

In a way he understood why she was doing this and he couldn't totally blame her. She was a single mother who was just worried for her child. And God knows where his real father was. Was he even alive or must have left them ? Whatever the situation was, She was doing her very best for the child.

And then Kairav calling him, coming to meet him like that, running away like that, must have hurt her, a lot. So she took this step. Although Kartik had decided to respect her wish, but that didn't mean that he was happy about that. That child was a small ray of sunshine in his dark life. He brought hope in his life, a hope which had vanished five years ago.

It's only been two days since she had messaged him and Kartik was dying to meet Kairav. He just wanted to go to Kairav's home, wanted to hug him and play with him, wanted to hear his voice, but couldn't do that. And that was making him more and more irritated, which in turn was angering him, a lot. And he knew what to do of this anger.

Kartik called Lisa and just told her that he was coming to pick her up. No further words were required. Lisa knew him enough to understand what he meant.

Kartik picked up Lisa from her house and drove to the warehouse where the fighting took place. Lisa didn't say anything. One look at Kartik's face and she understood that it wasn't good time to talk.

Once they entered the warehouse, Kartik didn't wait, he was up in the ring in a second. People cheered as they recognised him, and made there bets. He had won three fights in a row, so of course it had won him quiet a fame. Kartik looked at his opponent, he was quite a beefy guy, taller than him, but that didn't scare Kartik. He had seen worse, and faced even worse.

His opponent came near him, and punched Kartik in the face causing his head to turn sideways. Kartik looked at his opponent, the punch doing nothing. Kartik jumped and punched his opponent in the ear, who immediately went on the ground. The crowd cheered madly. Kartik started going out of the ring when suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen on the left side. Kartik looked down at his abdomen.

Kartik's opponent had stabbed him.

Kartik looked back at his opponent, who was looking at him with nothing but pure hatred. Kartik turned around and pushed him. Everyone in the crowd had gone completely silent. Lisa was looking at the scene with horror. Kartik slowly took out the knife and threw it away while hissing in pain.

Kartik was furious. Mad. His opponent came to punch him, Kartik blocked it and threw a punch at his left cheek. Kartik didn't give him time to recover, Kartik immediately with both hands slapped his opponent ears simultaneously. His opponent attempted to punch him which Kartik blocked and gave his own punch at his opponent abdomen who bended forward, with his elbow Kartik hit him on the face followed by a punch at the same place. Kartik punched his opponent again on the solar plexus who winced in pain followed by a second punch at the same place, again his opponent bended forward and Kartik again punched him in the jaw, breaking it. Finally Kartik kicked his opponent so hard that he fell out if the ring, unconscious.
