Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of my alarm buzzing annoyingly as I layed perfectly warm and comfortable under my sheets. Getting up in the mornings is so extremly hard, knowing school is waiting for you. But knowing it's friday, makes the day a little bit better.

Sighing out loud I thought about my options, and I figured out I better go with the one I wanted the least: To get out of bed

I crawled out of bed as a sleeping zombie before I stumbled towards the bathroom that is connected to my bedroom. On my way there, I stopped and saw my reflection in the mirror and in horror I backed away quickly and grimaced. My eyes were all black as my mascara from yesterday were smudge all over my face due the fact I forgot to remove it last night, well more like I was to lazy to remove my make-up and decided on going to bed still wearing it. Yeah I know, smart move Mia.

"Ugh, I need a shower." I mumbled to no one in particular as I began stripping out of my clothes before stepping into my amazing special designed shower, before I let the warm water run down my body, making me relax immediately. There's absolutely no better way to start my mornings, well showers, and coffee.

After I had showered I found myself an outfit and did my hair and make-up quickly, so I did look some what approachable for school. When I finished, I walked out from my bedroom and closed the door behind me, before wandering down the hallway and down the stairs. As I walked into the kitchen I was immediately met by the familiar surroundings that consisted of my mom, dad and brother sitting around the kitchen table eating breakfast. There's never a day in this household without the famous Anderson family breakfast.

"Good morning, honey. Take a seat, I made pancakes." My mom smiled as she patted the seat beside her. My dad was reading the news paper, like he always does every morning before he goes to work, well the mornings he's actually here. And Connor was eating as he was trying to hide his precious phone under the table so my parents didn't notice him. Can't say he was lucky when God delivered out braincells. We have one specific rule in this house, and that is a phone-free sone around every meals. No exceptions. Well you can see how that is working out for us.

"Good morning" I mumbled tiredly as I sat down and began eating on my pancakes that always taste delicious. My mom sure knows how to cook, and for that I was so grateful. Her food taste like heaven on a plate. No kidding.

"You guys have to come home right after school today, we're having dinner guests." My mom said as she took a sip of her coffee, sounding overly exited. Something that caused me to cringe in annoyance that someone could be in such a great mood this early in the morning, plus this dinner thing was the least I wanted tonight. Gosh, what is it with her and dad and dinner parties, we have them like every weekend.

"But mom, there this par-. I mean me and the girls are having a girls night at Kenzie's. We have planned it since forever" I said, but cut myself short. My parents are pretty strict, and parties aren't exactly their favorite word. At least not a party that includes minors, alcohol and drugs.

There's this guy, Jacob in my school. He always have this huge party every year because his parents are out of town. It's literally the party of the season, were the whole school is invited. But knowing my mom and dad I'm sure I can't get permission to go. That's why I came up with the lame excuse such as girls night at Kenzie's. I usually don't lie to my parents, but they are to protective when it comes their kids and parties, and are not found of me, or Connor for that matter drinking alcohol.

"Not tonight, Mia! And don't bother to argue with us any further then necessary" My mother told me strictly, giving me the look. And with the look I mean her usual look that says "oblige."

"Fine!" I groaned as I stood up and took my plate in the dish washer. I have learned from all these years to not argue with my mom, it doesn't always end well. She usually wins, or she thinks at least. I don't know how many times, both me and Connor have sneaked out late at night to go to a party or something. And our mother haven't catch us yet. I think our dad has a small idea, but he hasn't bothered to bring the subject up as he doesn't want to argue with our latina mother, who has a temper we're all very afraid of.

"I have to get going, school starts in twenty" I said as I gave my mom and my dad a kiss on the cheek, before I went over to my brother and gave him a smack on the head so he lost his phone on the floor. Hah! Sucker. He cursed under his breath, but unfortunately for him, my mom heard him loud and clear.

"CONNOR ANDERSON, did you just swear and is that a phone I see?" My mom half yelled, which got my dads attention. I chuckled at how scared he looked, so I thought I could be a good sister for once and save him out of it. Even if I was the one who got him in that situation in the first place.

"Connor, if you want a ride, you have to get your lazy ass up" I said as I grabbed  my bag from the corner in the kitchen. I saw my mom giving me a glare as my dad continued to read the paper. Not being bothered with his crazy ass kids and wife. Can't blame him though, we can be a handful sometimes, well most of the time.

Both me and Connor grabbed our schoolbag as we walked out of the kitchen, mumbling a quick bye to our parents on the way as we heard our mother in the distance before we shut the front door yell at us; be home right after school.
