Chapter Nine

2 weeks later

I decided to visit NY to see my mother and surprise Nie. I already told the guys about my trip so they would know, I was on my way to the airport when my mother called me.

"Hey hun how are you?"

"Hey mom I'm doing good on my way to the airport actually."

"Okay sweetie well let me know when you land, so I can come pick you up."

"Will do mami, I love you and see you soon."

I end the call as we reach the airport and head in to catch my flight, it's a 14-hour flight so I put my headphones in and relax. I end up falling asleep for the ride and when I woke up, we were still in the air. When I left Seoul, it was 6am so right now it's about 9pm there, the boys should be off work and honestly, I was already missing them. I was going to be gone for a week and even though we would be able to text and call we were in two different time zones, so it was going to take some getting used to but I think we'll be able to manage.

8am, NY time and the sun is shining bright in the sky; the plane is preparing for landing and I get a nostalgic feeling coming home, I missed my mom and my best friend I definitely can't wait to see Niema's face. As I'm coming off the plane, I can see my mother holding a big sign with my name on it. I smile as I approach her and we hug for what seems like forever, but honestly, I don't care I missed her a lot.

"Hey mom, I've missed you."

"Hey baby, how was your flight?"

"It was good, very quiet though"

"That's good come on sweetie I'll make you breakfast when we get home."

Putting my luggage in the car we head home, and my mom makes us breakfast. I plan to unpack later after I see Nie I'm going to go visit the club and surprise her because I know she'll be doing inventory today.

"So, I love the hair color, and do you have pictures of these handsome men you're dating and what are their names?"

"Yes, I have pictures, they're names are Hoseok and Yoongi.

I say as I take out my phone and scroll through my pictures. I find the pictures of our first date when we were at the diner and then the arcade, I pass her the phone and she take a look instantly smirking and flipping the pancakes she was making.

"Uh oh what is that look mami?"

"Nothing they are very handsome; I'm just wondering which is which? I know a sadist when I see one and sweetie you have two of them the question is which one is harsher?"

"Mom!"

"What I'm just saying I can tell."

I just smile while shaking my head this woman is something else and my curiosity has been killed, I no longer want to know anything about my mom young life experiences I'll save the trauma, we eat breakfast and I help clean up the kitchen and dishes. I head to my room to get some clothes and take a shower before I start my day, I decide to text Yoongi, but he already beat me to it.

Yoongi

Hey, baby how was your flight?

Me

It was good and peaceful, how are you doing I miss you guys already.

Yoongi

We are doing okay; I miss you too. How long are you going to be gone?

Me

Only for the week I'm going to spend some time with my mom and then my best friend I'll be back on Sunday.

Yoongi

Okay, well you have fun and I'll see you Sunday.

Me

Okay, tell Hobi I said hi and sleep well

I put my phone down and headed to the shower, the club doesn't open till 12pm so the workers can make sure everything is ready for the night, so I had time, after my shower I decided to go to the playground area for a walk. As I was walking down the pathway through the park, I listened to my music and watched as women jogged with strollers and some children playing at the park, I smiled thinking of my childhood and how fun it was being a kid. Life was so much easier back then. After walking for a while, I sit at a bench and just breath in the fresh air closing my eyes.

"Hey Jamila"

I open my eyes to see Aaliyah and Derrick approaching me, I haven't seen or spoken to them since we broke off the relationship.

"Hey guys, how have you been?"

"We've been good, I heard you moved out of town?"

Derrick asked me and he almost looked sad, it wasn't his fault the relationship didn't work out, Aaliyah just felt like she needed to be the only one, so I gave her that. And by the looks of it she was not happy standing here catching up with me.

"Yeah, I'm just visiting my mom and Niema for the week."

"Well why you're here we should hangout sometime and catch up"

Aaliyah smacked her teeth and Derrick gave her a glare, I decided to ignore it.

"I'm actually going to be really busy this week, so I'll have to see if I have time, but I have to go so nice seeing you guys again."

I leave from them and just head to the club, I feel like I'll need a shot to relieve the tension I just received. I reach the club just as they are opening the back door, I can hear Niema in the club giving orders and laughing with everyone, so while her back is turned to me, I shush everyone and cover her eyes.

"So, bestie I need a shot because I know you missed me"

She turns around and squeals hugging me tightly I just smile and hug her back God, I missed her.

We sit at the bar and just chat I haven't seen my best friend in 4 months, and she was just as crazy as I remembered. We went out to lunch and then went to the club for a couple of shots I told her about Derrick and Aaliyah earlier that day and she told me just do what I do and that's live my best life being unbothered. I showed her the pics of the guys, and she was happy for me it was fun catching up with her. I left because the club was opening up soon and they had to set up, so when I got home, I had dinner with my mom and watched some tv, then texted the guy's good night as I went to bed, this was going to be a long week. I just know it.

Hey, I wanted to give a little something about her past relationship i was conflicted on if i should add it or not, but I decided to add it also I will be adding a light smut between the next 2 chapters after that we should be on a roll to the good stuff. Love u Hunni's Bye!
