I don't own One Piece obviously. And yet another year later the art still isn't mine. Time to dive in yet again, shall we?
It was absurd. Absolutely absurd. That was what Hancock concluded.
Not only had princess Shirahoshi had some extremely sketchy decker guy after her heart in marriage, which Hancock labelled as the most disgusting thing ever! Honestly! The girl was only 16 years old! Nowhere near legal, which sent shivers down her spine. All those axes and weapons decorating the princess's door had an even worse meaning. The whole thing was close to being as disgusting as men in general, but then again what did she expect? This decker guy was a man after all. Disgusting.
And so, of course, when her beloved Luffy chose to want to help their princess in her struggles of avoiding both marriage and her position in being what basically was a princess being captive in her own palace, Hancock found he couldn't object. Though, she had to try to best to not grow jealous of the extent of effort Luffy was going through for this girl. Hancock wanted to believe he had no interest in her, but she wasn't sure at all, she found she needed to ask.
And that was exactly what she'd do. At least, she was going to. Until Luffy had come up with this brilliant plan of hiding the poor girl in the mouth of her pet shark! Honestly, Luffy may have truly been a wonderful existence, but even Hancock was willing to admit he didn't always have the brightest of ideas. Not that she said anything against it, as she would always follow her one true love to the ends of the earth.
Yes, it was cliche. But it was true.
Now, the shark was travelling with the princess in mouth, and Luffy and Hancock on back towards exactly where they had come from. That Sea Forest, the Ship Graveyard if you would. Hancock wasn't exactly sure why the princess had wanted to be escorted there of all places, but she didn't find it herself to bother asking. As long as she was with Luffy she didn't mind where they ended up.
Speaking of Luffy, he was currently seated in front of Hancock on the shark's back. He had been in favour of having her hold onto him in the event she fell off, which was a thought neither Luffy nor Hancock wanted to think about. So they didn't. Luffy's eyes were currently looking out over Fishman Island, taking in the scenery as they swam? Flew? Hancock didn't think about it too much. She was preoccupied with the smaller man in front of her.
Luffy was warm. That was the first thing Hanock realized. She'd never really taken the time to truly think about that. Since every time he touched her, she often overheated due to nervousness, and when she's a sweaty mess, that for the most part can't help her identify Luffy's temperature. But, she was a lot calmer than usual now. It was nice. Nice being able to be close like this with Luffy, and not feel so flustered. Though maybe it was only so easy to keep her cool since she didn't have to look at his face. His dark brunette hair was all she could see. It was just as if not darker than her own, and she enjoyed seeing it flow in wind.
She sort of had to look down to see it through, since Luffy was quite smaller than her. Tiny in fact. A detail she never really noticed too much. More so out of curiosity to confirm her thoughts, Hancock tentatively reached her hand out and pressed it softly on his head, as if she were trying to measure how high it was. Luffy noticed the touch, slightly moving his head to look up at Hancock.
"Hm? What are you doing?" He asked, eyes curious as they rested on her. Hancock found herself wanting to blush at his gaze, but she'd already been doing so well to keep her cool, so she continued doing so. Instead, giving a small smile.
