Prince Anand infuriated with anger. There were lines of fierceness on his face. Embers started burning in his eyes. Hatred had erupted. Spreading his legs, he raised the sword with one hand and struck the head of the King sitting in Padmasana.
Minister Devsharma trembled. He covered his face with both hands and left from there.
The king had a deep wound on his head. A stream of blood started flowing from the head and spread all over the body. The prison was covered with blood.
The king kept chanting ‘Namo Jinanam’. He was still conscious. His mind was stable.
Even amidst such deadly pain, he was thinking, “Prince, it’s not your fault. You have done no crime. The fault is of my karmas. You have just become a reason. I might have acquired such sinful karmas in past lives. This is the result of those sinful karmas. This is the fruit of misdeeds. I have to enjoy this fruit and that too with equanimity .”
The king was meditating as if the pain of the body was not even touching the soul! The head was torn off, the face was covered in blood, the clothes and ground were all stained with blood. With a demonic face, the prince was still standing with his sword in front.
But the king’s eyes were closed. A strong shield of knowledge was placed on the mind. Thoughts of any kind of hatred were not able to enter the mind. He was constantly reflecting on Jinvachan.
• ‘I am a pure soul
• I possess infinite knowledge
• I have infinite perception
• I have good conduct
• I am immortal
• I am eternal
• I am unstoppable
• I possess infinite bliss
I am feeling as if my soul is rising, moving upwards where there is eternal light and bliss.
I am moving away from this perishable world.

It seemed as if some devil had possessed Prince Anand. He was blazing with the fire of intense hatred and animosity.
‘’This king had instilled a conceit of love on me throughout his life. He pretended. His mind was full of hatred. He was considering me as an enemy. After all, even in the end, he was making moves to kill me. How would he kill me? I only pushed him into the claws of death.”
“Now, I myself will get my coronation done. For that, I will first need to talk to the ministers.
There may be a fight against the army of Jaipur and even the foolish people of the state may stand against me! As soon as the news of this king’s death will spread, fierce riots will begin. Moreover, when people will come to know that ‘Anand himself killed his father’, then the soldiers will get uncontrollable to attack me. Citizens will also surround me.
Well, whatever happens will be looked into. I have attained peace by putting this king to death. My troubled mind has calmed down. Also, I have already made complete arrangements for my safety, the mighty army of Durmati has also been called. That army is capable to handle Jaipur. And where is Commander Jaipal now? If that wicked man would not have attacked me, then I would have killed the king there itself. But I don’t know from where did that commander spring up! Maybe the king had informed him. It was because of the king’s swear that he didn’t behead me. Otherwise even Durmati was not going to help me at that time. He is very afraid of Jaipal. Don’t know what happened at that time that the king bestowed love on me and saved me.
Why keep mercy in politics? The mercy shown by him trapped him. I do not believe in the policy of justice or mercy in politics. In politics, deceit is the main element. Violence and cruelty are its major parts. Politics is an arena in which relations and faith seem childish. Today’s friend will turn into an enemy tomorrow. Tomorrow’s enemy can also be your friend today. In politics, ‘Use and throw’ is the most practical approach.
There was a great commotion outside the prison. The prison officer called the prince out of the room and said, ‘’Prince, it is not possible for us to get out of prison now. The prison is surrounded by the king’s loyal army. The word has spread in the city that ‘the prince has brutally killed the king by striking a sword on his head.”
The prince shouted, “Yes, I have killed the king. I can kill him if I want. What does the army have to do with this?”
“It has a lot to do, prince! Which citizen and army will bear the murder of their beloved king? The king was admired by lakhs of people. He was the honourable master of the unique army of Jaipur. Prince! I think it will be very difficult to get out of this prison. The people are trying to break the prison and enter inside. But the army has surrounded from all sides. The great commanders of the army are armed with swords, spears, daggers etc. It’s difficult for you to exit. They will fall on you. You will lose your life.”
Anand got anxious. Lines of fear and stress were drawn on his face.
He said, “There is a secret way out of this prison, isn’t it? Open it. I’ll get out of there. Then I will take care of the rest.”
The prince again went to the spot where the king’s blood-stained body was lying. He looked at the king’s body. He saw something trembling in the body and he was startled.
“Oh! He is still alive. I will leave from here and later his saviours will come. He will be saved. No! My attack should not go in vain. I will be relaxed after I behead him.”
The wicked prince inflicted heavy blows on the king who was meditating, and ran away from there.
• The king attained a peaceful death.
• He celebrated the festival of death in solitude.
The body lay in the prison. The soul reincarnated as a heavenly being named ‘Sanatkumar’. As soon as he was born there, he got a young divine body full of radiance and grace. No disease of any kind! He got a life of innumerable years.

It is not known how long Anand ruled as a king. He had definitely ruled the kingdom. King Durmati had betrayed him. And when Anand died, his soul was reincarnated in the first hell called Ratnaprabha.
