Chapter 12 Welcome to the CDC

It was a chaotic night, it was more disastrous than what happened in the series, I guess the lack of weapons and ammunition was a big factor.

After Merle tortured me by sewing my arm I fell asleep. The next day I wake up and next to me is a sleeping Andrea, the wound doesn't hurt as much as it did last night, I stretch my arms a little feeling a little pain, but it's not something I can't bear.

It seems that my movements woke up Andrea. "Justin, are you okay? Let me help you is the least I can do." Andrea says getting up quickly and helping me to my feet. "Forgive me for shooting you Justin, it was an accident." Andrea says on the verge of tears.

"Don't worry Andrea, I know it was an accident and I forgive you." I say as I hug her a bit causing her to start crying as she hugs me. What crybabies they all are. "However, Andrea, my arm still hurts, so I'll need your help, okay?" I say faking pain wrinkling my face a little. Andrea's reaction did not take long to appear.

"Of course Justin, yesterday you saved us and I only hurt you, let me help you in any way I can, Amy will also be delighted." Andrea says quickly.

"Okay, let's go outside, I need some sun." I say as I stand up and walk out of the tent together with Andrea.

Going outside I see how the adults are burying the members of the group who died last night and setting the bodies of the walkers on fire.

Rick and Shane are arguing with a map on a table, we will most likely end up traveling to the CDC.

"Justinnnn." Carl runs to me and hugs me along with Sofia. "Yesterday you were great, I want you to teach me how to shoot." Carl throws his hands up in the air excitedly and Sofia just nods her head.

Lori appears behind them along with Carol, both of them giving me one of those motherly smiles that make me uncomfortable. "Carl told me what happened in the trailer Justin, I don't know how to thank you, if you need anything, just ask for anything." Lori says hugging me.

"My Sofia is alive thanks to you, you are an angel sent by the same heavens Justin." Carol says before hugging me too. Enough, enough of this, they make me uncomfortable with so many hugs.

"Nothing happens, it's what anyone would have done in my place." I say with a slightly forced smile.

"Justin you smell a bit bad." Carl says nonchalantly before his mom smacks him in the head a bit.

"Carl, don't be rude." Lori says giving me a smile. Come to think of it, my clothes are dirty and have a lot of walker blood stains on them.

"Huh, you're right, I'm a bit stinky, I should take a bath." I say scratching my head a bit. "Carl, can I borrow some more clothes?" I ask innocently and Carl just nods before going to get some clothes for me.

"Justin, I see you're better off, considering my sister shot you." Amy appears behind me, her face crinkling a little. "Yesterday you scared me, you know? For a moment I thought you were going to shoot Andrea." Amy says ruffling my hair.

To tell the truth, I was about to shoot Andrea and leave her as bait for the walkers and escape on my own towards the road. However, I have invested a lot of time in these people and plan to reap the benefits.

"It's good that you're here Amy, I need your help and that of your sister, you'll see right now I need a bath before the adults decide where we should go, and since I'm injured it's very difficult for me." I say with my best innocent face.

Andrea starts to cough. "Justin, I think you're a little old for that." Andrea refuses, however, Amy just stares at Andrea.

"Andrea, he is just a child." Amy gestures with her face at me when I make a dejected face.
