It was noon once everyone was awake. The group had decided that they would go around town to explore. Steve grabbed his wallet and shoved it into his pocket. He looked to the others who were all now dressed and ready to go. "Ready?" Steve asked. Everyone nodded and he smiled. The big group walked out of the hotel and began to make their way down the street. "Luckily this town is small, the farthest thing by foot is only twenty minutes away." Robin said from beside Steve. He nodded and took in his surroundings. "We should get lunch before we do anything." Mike said from behind the group. Everyone agreed with him as they walked into a small restaurant.
The group all sat at a large table, looking at the menus to find what they'd like to munch down on. Steve glanced at Eddie and seen he had his hair up still in a low pony tail / bun. He smiled and chuckled lightly before looking back at the menu. After awhile, the group ordered their food and drinks and talked while they waited. "Last night while we were looking for the hotel, I seen a fair on the other side of town! It's only a fifteen minute walk." Dustin said excitedly. He hoped that they all wanted to go as much as he'd like to. "We can go if you guys would like?" Jonathan said, looking around the table for answers. Everyone nodded and Steve smiled happily. It's been a long time since he's been to a fair. Last time he was at a fair was when he was about 15. "Okay then! Looks like we're going to the fair!" Eddie said with joy. After a few moments, a few waiters came out with their food, passing it out as they all thanked them.
The group all ate their food, making small conversations as they ate. Once they were done, Steve paid for the food. they all piled out of the small restaurant and started making their way to the fair. The kids all joked around as they walked, shoving each other and laughing at the worst jokes they could think of. Steve sighed as he walked quietly. Robin glanced at him and raised an eyebrow. "You okay Steve?" She asked. The boy jumped a bit at her voice, looking over at her with a small smile. "I'm fine Rob, just lost in thought." He said. She nodded slowly and pat they boys shoulder. "Well if you need someone to talk to, I'm always here." She said softly with a kind smile. Steve chuckled and nodded. "I know, thanks robin.x" "Of course Steven." Steve rolled his eyes and groaned. "I told you to stop calling me that!" He shouted, playfully pushing the girl. Robin laughed and ruffled Harrington's hair around.
Eddie smiled as he watched Steve and Robin mess around. Jonathan looked at the boy and smirked. "You should tell him how you feel you know?" Jonathan spoke to Eddie. Munson looked at him confused, but knew what he was talking about. His face turned a bit pink in embarrassment and he sighed. "I want to, but I don't think he likes me back." Eddie said sadly. Jonathan groaned and shook his head. "Eddie you're so blind it's painful to watch. Steve does like you back and it's so obvious. The way he looks at you, the way he treats you.. he definitely has some feelings for you Eddie." He told Eddie with a huge smile. Eddie's heart began to pound, millions of questions flooding his mind.
'Is Jonathan telling the truth? Have I just been so painfully blind to realize he likes me too? But if it's true why hasn't he asked me out yet? Is he scared? Is Jonathan just lying to get my hopes up?' Munson groaned in frustration at all the questions. Jonathan chuckled and patted the boys back. "Just wait till the time is right! I bet while we're here one of you will ask the other out." He said cheerfully. Eddie smiled a bit at the boys words, filling him with hope.
- Time Skip / At The Fair -
The party arrived at the fair, all excitedly looking around. "Okay let's do the buddy system!" Robin shouted to the group, everyone nodded in response. Max went with Jane, Lucas went with Erica, Mike went with Will, Nancy went with Robin, Argyle went will Jonathan and Dustin, and of course, Eddie went with Steve. "Let's all meet back here in three hours, yeah?" Jonathan said. Everyone nodded and began to part ways. Steve made sure to give everyone one enough money to play a few games and ride a few rides.
