By the time lunch had rolled around Star was calm enough to the point she could talk to Finney without punching him

She saw Finn and Gwen sitting at a lunch table and walked straight up to them "so what the hell Finn?" She said and all Finn did was look down at the table, Gwen on the other hand looked at the two confused but didn't want to say anything to piss Star off further

"Finney Blake you better look at me when I'm taking to you" she said, it took Finn a few seconds but he slowly looked up at her meeting her angered yet disappointed eyes

"I get it when you don't talk about your siblings but the first few times you hang out but it's been two years you've been friends with him and I didn't come up at all? But Gwen did, I'm glad you at least won't keep her a secret. So what is it? Huh? Are you ashamed that I'm your sister so that you don't even tell people I am?" Star said slightly raising her voice each sentence, Finn looked at her and could see the disappointment and sadness seeping in through her eyes especially after the last sentence

"No! No I'm not ashamed of you" Finn said as he decided to finally speak up, he looked down again "it's just- I know robins a fighter so I didn't want it to be a whole Vance situation again, he only encouraged your fighting and I just don't want you to get hurt" Finn still didn't look up at Star,  "Finn..." Finn looked up to see his sister looking at him, but she didn't look angry anymore just upset "i understand that but you can't dictate who I know and who I don't, okay? Robin and I are fighters we were gonna meet one way or another but I understand you don't want me getting hurt and I promise I won't. Also please don't ever talk about Vance like that again, he was my best friend and we protected each other so yeah that means me and him got into some fights with other people" she said looking like she was about to cry when he brought up Vance

They had been extremely close for about two years before his disappearance so it hit her hard when he went missing and was presumed dead "okay, I'm sorry, just- if you hang out with Robin be careful an don't get hurt" Finn said, he got up from his seat and hugged his twin because even if she said she didn't he knew she needed a hug and she knew that too so she hugged back

Lunch was over and Star was walking to her next class, she looked down at her bandages hand, she thought about what Finn had said about not getting hurt and in a way she still didn't know what he meant

She didn't know is he didn't want her getting hurt physically or mentally, maybe in a way he meant both if he brought up Vance, Star didn't want to think about him in that moment because she didn't want to have another breakdown

She walked into her classroom and her eyes immediately landed on the boys hand she had wrapped up in second period

They made eye contact for a few seconds but both looked away when the teacher stood up to greet Star "hello Ms.Blake, you can go take a seat next to mr.Arellano if that's okay" The teacher smiled at her, Star nodded, gave her a small smile back and went to go take a seat next to him

He turned to look at her when she sat down "can't stay away can you Blake?" He said with his stupid grin on his face that made Star wanna slap him "don't flatter yourself Arellano I was told to sit here" Star said rolling her eyes while having the slightest smile

"how's the hand holding up?" He asked her pointing at her bandaged hand "pretty good, hurts like hell. How about you?" Star looks at her hand and then back him expecting him to be looking at his hand but is then met with his eyes and they once again make eye contact 'he's pretty' she thinks to herself but quickly gets rid of the though in her head

He panics a bit when they make eye contact so he quickly looks down at his bandaged hand "uhm pretty good thanks" he said looking back up for a split second to smile at her

She smiled at him softly and then looks up to the teacher who was starting the lesson unknowing that the boy sitting next to her was still subtly staring at her

After the lesson Star was packing up her supplies and then she felt a small tap on her back, she turned around to see Robin giving her a smile which she gave back "uh so I was wondering if you wanted to come over after school" he asked looking very hopeful that she would say yes "isn't my brother going over to help you with math though?" She asked and his eyes widened forgetting she was there for that conversation

"Uhm yeah but if you wanna like come with us and hang?" He said she smiled again "sure, works out for me either way cuz I kinda suck at math too" she said which made both of them laugh "okay then" Robin said and smiled "what's your next class, wanna walk together?" He asked her which she agreed too "yeah ironically enough my next class is math" she said like walking beside Robin

He walked her all the way to her math class smiling the entire time "so I'll see you both after school then" he said "yeah,you will" Star said walking into her math classroom

Robin turned around to walk away slightly celebrating "yes" he said softly with the biggest smile and walked away from the class room
