The night breeze gently brushed across your skin as you frantically scribbled down notes from Chapter 7 into your notebook.

"Okay if I just copy the glossary words then the test tomorrow would be somewhat readable. I'm pretty confident with the rest so hopefully that will be enough," you mumbled to yourself.

Once again you had neglected your studies in order to watch anime and read fanfiction.

You gazed at scattered test papers all around your room. Entrance tests were coming up and you just needed to study hard enough so you could get into at least one of the schools in your Top 3. Getting the motivation to do them did not come easy, so most of the papers were blank with a TDL on them.

"If only for one day I could be someone else who didn't have to worry about tests so I could have just one free day without stress that would be fantastic," you sighed to yourself. Suddenly your attention shifted to a bright, blinding light that took a stroll past your window.

A shooting star ay? You were in awe at its beauty and smiled to yourself.

"Better keep working hey..just a few more modules.."

"Keep working Miya! You'll have to be pristine and more proper for the competition on Friday. No raggedy scraping the wheels on the ground, a clean roll please. Take it from the top."

Miya had just wanted to go skating at a nearby park however he had stumbled upon the instructor at his local big, indoor skate academy who had taken it upon himself to try and coach Miya.

A big competition was coming up and if Miya did well in it, a lot of money and recognition would come into his academy.

Miya scoffed and rolled his eyes, the man wasn't even his instructor, why was he trying to 'teach' him. He wasn't even trying to do the routine for the competition, he just wanted to skate around and try a few tricks at the skate park for fun. Why couldn't he do just that?

He was quite well known around his town so when people saw him they would stop and look and go up to him. While he appreciated it for the most part, sometimes he wished he could just skate with no distractions.

"Do a kick flip for me Miya!"
"Can you jump up while still staying on the board? No way, show us!"

People were just excited to see him, a child prodigy, but sometimes he wanted his alone time with just him and his board.

He didn't mind the people saying hi to him, the ones that would crowd around and ask for photos and shoutouts when he was clearly busy were the ones that annoyed him. He was a person too and he needed his own time for himself and no one but his board.

While he started his routine from the top and tried to mask out the instructor's mindless babbling, he had one thought in his mind.

"Such a bother. You know what would be great? If I could be someone else for the day, a nobody in a town that's not this one and just do whatever I want with no attention. Wouldn't that be nice?"

And as if the devil himself was listening and wanted to mess with him, a crazed fan ran into the sheltered skatepark shouting his name in an exasperated huff, begging for a photo.

The instructor went away to deal with the fan leaving Miya to sit on a bench with his thoughts.

His attention was soon shifted towards the sky as a beam of light shot past his view.

"A shooting star? Huh, it's ... nice.." he thought to himself, humming. He picked up his board and placed it on the ground and he rolled away from the skatepark and the instructor, "better keep training, just a few more days."

.......part 2?
