Jen's pov

"Oh my god, Brad." Immediate tears in my eyes as I'm holding the same necklace he once gave to me on my 30th birthday. The necklace that also came with the engagement ring he asked me to marry him with.

"So, you like it?"

"Do I like it? Brad how? How did you even get this? I thought I lost it when we moved out of our house."

"I recently found it whilst cleaning out boxes I had when I moved to my new house! I'm not sure how it got in there but I thought you might like it back but I wanted the occasion to be special."

"Just like the night you first gave it to me." I look up at him for the first time since opening the box, Although it seems like his eyes haven't moved from me.

"Exactly" Our eyes stay locked as we both reminisce on the night that would start our happily ever after fairytale...or so we thought.

"Well uh, I should go. It's late, and you probably want everybody out." Brad laughs after being the first to break the silence.

"Oh you know I always love company"

"Is that an invitation to stay?" He winks at me making me smile while the butterflies are flying around in my stomach.

"I mean if you'd like. I still have to take Dre home though! Amanda left her with me, she got a call from the babysitter letting her know the girls wanted her home. Dre insisted on being the last one here so we couldn't get her in the car!"

"I can take her home if you need!"

"I thought you were staying." I look at him with a slight smile on my lips. Why are we flirting like we're teenagers who have just met? We're two people in our 50's. Two people in our 50's who were both married and divorced.

"I didn't think you were serious" He says looking eager to jump at my offer but also looking confused by what I am saying.

"Oh come on it will be fun! We can finally catch up on everything and we can discuss that thing you were talking about earlier! Yes?"

"I would like that very much."

"Okay good. I'm gonna take Dre home first yeah?" Just as I am about to walk off to find my keys he stops me.

"No, you're not sober enough to drive! I'll take her home" He says with his hand on my arm holding me back from taking off.

"I'm fine the alcohol has worn off! I didn't drink that much."

"It's still in your system though. I don't want anything to happen to you and if you get pulled over you're done for"

"Okay, but I'm coming with you! I'll have to help her to bed cause her husband and kids are away for the weekend."

"Sounds good to me."

"Dre, honey let's go. Brad and I are going to take you home" I say walking off to find Andrea after patting Brad's arm.
