Omori-Everything is Fine

First Picnic

Chapter 1-

*welcome to white space, you have been living here for as long as you can remember*

I wake up in the same white room as I always have been, nothing is different, and nothing ever will be different. A tissue box to wipe my sorrows away, my sketchbook, my laptop (it feels warm on my lap), Mewo, the light bulb that seems to lead to nowhere. I walk to the white plain door in the corner and open it slowly. Hero, Kel, and Aubrey are there to greet me. Aubrey rushes toward me "Omori Omori!" I stare blankly, "We were just talking about you! Mari really wants to see you!" she talks with such excitement as if there's a huge surprise. I take my view behind Aubrey to Hero and Kel, Hero smiles that sweet smile, Kel is staring at a wall.

We walk up the rainbow stairs, you see the snake to your right. "Sssssssss (going out, Omori?), Ssssssssss (Here is your allowance for today.)" he gave me 200 clams. We continue out the stump and get going to the park. I look behind me and see Aubreys' bow bobbing up and down as she skips through the grass, Kel is staring at the trees as they pass (I wonder if he sees something), Hero is watching all three of us in front of him, he is walking with perfect posture (he is quite the role model). I can see the park just beyond the last few trees. I look right, then left, then right again and finally spot Mari and the picnic basket.

On the blanket Mari's face lights up "Wow Omori I really missed you!", she gets up and holds me in her arms (not too tight, not too soft, she makes me feel safe), she lets go after a short time because Hero was waiting patiently for his turn to be held. Mari teases Hero, Hero is very flustered "Oh come here handsome." Mari opens up her arms and tilts her head slightly to the left waiting for Hero to give in. I sit and observe, Kel and Aubrey are fighting again over who is better, Mari and Hero lightly flirt. The more Mari says the brighter and quieter Hero gets, she always knows how flustered she makes him feel (she enjoys it too). They are so cute together, a match made in heaven.

Everyone settles but Kel and Aubrey, they are still bickering. Mari told them that they are both perfect in their own way and both are amazing, Mari has always been a peace-maker. Hero gets out sandwiches and strawberries from the basket, he hands around food to everyone and tosses each person a bottle of milk (Kel loves milk). Hours pass by, Aubrey is going around picking flowers (nobody knows what for), Kel is on the swing set swinging up and down laying on his stomach (I hope he doesn't fly off), Hero is napping on Maris' stomach as Mari is humming his favorite song.

The longer we are here the longer I watch Hero and Mari. Hero wakes up but refuses to move, (Mari laughs at how cute Hero is), a few minutes later Hero is holding hands with Mari walking around the park, Kel comes off the swings and sits with me (he is talking to me but I am dismissing every word he says) Hero and Mari sit on the swings next to each other. They are laughing, smiling, holding hands lightly swinging.
