Harriet's new home

A rather large man arrived to bring Harriet to safety. He set the little bundle in a basket then tucked it in the side car of his motorcycle before flying off to meet his boss.

When he arrived at Pivot Drive he found the street lights were out and that his boss was there already, talking quietly with another work friend.

"Hagrid," Dumbldore sighed in relief. "At last, but I must ask; where did you get that motorcycle?" The half giant climbed off the bike "Young Sirius Black lent it to me. I've got her," he said as he retrieved the basket from his side car.

Professors Dumbldore and McGonagall slowly observed the face of young Harriet Potter. McGonagall gasped at the lightning scar. She whispered to Dumbldore, "Is that where-?"

"Yes," he replied just as quiet as she had asked. "That scar will marr her face forever and there is no way to rid of it." McGonagall nodded her understanding. Without wasting another moment he picked up the little girl and carried her to the Dursley's residence. Hagrid hurried over to place a fleeting kiss on the baby's forehead before breaking into tears.

"Shush, you'll wake the muggles." McGonagall hissed at him before calming his tears and babbling. With a final good-bye they all left. The next morning a scream could be heard from the Dursley's house, as Petunia Dursley opened the front door and found little Harriet. Harriet was taken in only to suffer weeks of her cousin's pinching and prodding, but what she doesn't know is that witches and wizards everywhere were meeting up for drinks with a loud declaration of-

"Harriet Potter! The-girl-who-lived!"
