Tommy got up the next morning, and went to make breakfast to find Technoblade sat up, hands braced on his knees, staring at the wall. "Techno?" Tommy asked, startling Technoblade.

"Oh, you're awake," he glances at Tommy, the voices growing louder than ever. "Aagh!" Techno pressed his hands to his temples, trying to concentrate and quiet them.

"Techno? Are you okay?" Tommy stepped over and placed a hand on his shoulder.

Technoblade grabbed Tommy, gripping him by the biceps, trying to steady himself, "just give me a moment." Tommy nods and stands there for how-ever long Technoblade needs.

After a few minutes Techno finally quiets them and he looks up at Tommy, "do you ever get these voices? In your head?"

Tommy looks at him concerned, "sometimes? I think it's just your conscience." Tommy does get voices, but he convinced himself that it was just, well himself.

Techno nods his head slowly, turning the possibility over itself in his mind, "maybe."

"Soooo," Tommy begins, "how about that adventure? We could go to the city itself, pick up some supplies." Tommy began to count the limited emeralds in his pouch. "I can get us enough for a few days worth of travel, and we can hunt as well." Interrupting Tommy's line of thought, Techno thumps a bag full of emeralds on the table.

"The city of Lavienge, right?" Techno stands. "You don't happen to have a shirt I can wear do you?"

Tommy paused, staring at the bag of emeralds in-front of him, "uh, I don't know actually. We can surely see. If not I can fix something up. Where," Tommy pauses, "where did you get all these emeralds from?"

"I sold some of my extra weapons," Techno had taken his eyes off Tommy, counting his remaining blades.

Tommy looked up at Techno and shuddered, he hadn't noticed how scarred Techno was. Wonder where they're all from? Tommy began to question. He ran his eyes counting them, 30.. 31.. 32.. 33..

"You're staring," Techno flicks Tommy in the forehead, interrupting Tommy's counting. "Ack! You've got a lot of scars, I wish I could know the stories of them." Tommy grins up at Techno.

"I wish I could too," Techno rolls his eyes.

"Right. Sorry," Tommy meekly apologised.

Techno just shrugs and sits down, cleaning the wound on his side. "We may have to burn it, I don't know what was used against it. It could be infected."

Tommy looks at him, "b-burn it?"

Techno thought nothing of it, "yeah cauterize the wound so nothing gets in it."

"Makes sense, I guess," Tommy was hesitant about it, he had never gotten badly injured before. He'd heard of people losing limbs and having to burn it so the blood would stop and it would close up enough that little could get in.

Tommy shudders at the thought, shaking it off. "I'll see what I have and I can run into town by myself to buy you one if it comes down to it." Tommy turned on his heel to go find the strange looking.. human? A shirt. "You don't happen to have a way to hide your horns, do you?"

As in reading his min, Technoblade had made his horns shorter. "Can't hide 'em completely, but a cloak should easily cover these," Technoblade's tail wrapped around his waist, the fluff on the end tickling his side, as Tommy walked into the other room to dig for a shirt.

Tommy came back out with a shirt that was too big for himself, but would be a little tight on the strange man. "This is the best I've got. We'll get better clothes in town." Tommy nods in certainty, handing the pink haired man the shirt and a cloak.

Technoblade took them, gratefully, slipping on the shirt before strapping his array of weapons back to himself. Finishing the touch with a glimmering purple axe strapped to his back, outside the cloak. Tommy watched him in awe, he had to be a real adventurer.

Tommy added the extra emerald pouch to the strap that held his own, fastening his sword to his belt. He stopped in-front of the dusty mirror, giving it a toothy grin as he fixed his hair and put a fresh bandage on his nose.

He bounded back out to the strange man who looked as mysterious as ever, yet magical in a way Tommy couldn't explain.  Techno stepped outside staring into the sky, "we head out in an hour, you should eat something first," Technoblade steps back in the door having to duck a bit and points to a bowl on the furnace. "Might be a little cold now, but I didn't want to wake you."

Tommy nods his thanks as he picks up the bowl and started eating the golden colored mush. It tasted like heaven, Tommy made a small sound of pleasure with the meal, making Techno laugh. "That good, eh?" Tommy nods excitedly as he scoops the rest of the mush into his mouth.

"What is that?" Tommy questions Techno.

"Wild oats and honey, with a bit of raspberry juice," the strange man responds.

"You have to teach me how to make it at some point!"

"I thought the only thing I owed you was an adventure," Techno raises his brows at the boy.

"Oh. Right, it's a favour being paid." Tommy nods, a bit annoyed that he was shut down. He stalks off to go collect the rest of his travelling gear. They'd need another sleeping bag, easy food, perhaps bread. An extra one or two canteens. Tommy slumped onto the bed, just a favour, not a friend. He had to remind himself. He sighs and yawns, too early.

Technoblade cleans up the mess from breakfast, putting the dishes away, he sits on the counter once he is done. The voices raged, rambling and mumbling in the silence.

Not long after Tommy came out from his room, and they began their traverse towards the city.
