In all honesty, although (y/n) loved the atmosphere that she and the others at Jujutsu Tech had whenever they had dinner, she still had to admit that eating at Junpei's house was just a tad bit better. It might've been because it was the first time in months she's eaten a homemade meal.
No, it was definitely because of the homemade meal. It just screamed home and... motherly.
The previous senior she had was the best at cooking but still, there was just something about a mother's cooking that comforted (y/n).
"This cooking tastes great!" Itadori exclaimed through a mouth filled with rice and the side dish they were having.
(y/n) glared at him because he managed to beat her to praising the woman. She sighed, admitting defeat. "Your cooking is amazing, Miss Yoshino." (y/n) said, giving the woman a contented and appreciative smile.
Nagi was the woman's name, but neither of the two teens that sat in front of her and her son called her that, claiming that it was rude. It might've been to some other mothers, but it wasn't something that she'd brood over. She was just glad that his son managed to make two friends in the span of a month.
Dinner went smoothly with lots of talks coming from Itadori who kept on telling childhood stories and from Nagi who hilariously laughed at all of the stories, seeming to be amazed with how funny Itadori was. Of course, (y/n) occasionally joined in whenever she had something to say or whenever Nagi had something to ask of her.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Nagi suddenly asked.
Itadori looked amused, Junpei looked at his mother with wide-eyes, and (y/n) choked on her drink. Gulping down the water that got stuck in her throat, she shook her head. "I don't..." She laughed it off.
"It's because the boy he likes is dense—"
Alright, maybe telling Itadori about her small crush on a certain blonde wasn't the best idea out there. But then again, it was bound to happen with how much they talked to each other during their so-called training sessions.
With a hand on Itadori's mouth, (y/n) glared at him. She let him go just as soon she muttered a threat about not letting him sleep at night. "I don't have one because I'm going to focus on my future careers," She explained.
Ah yes, her careers which consisted of being a member of the agency, a hunter, a magic knight, and if the old man that wanted her sister dead wouldn't know that they were related to each other, then maybe a Jujutsu sorcerer.
Nagi nodded in understanding before her head started swinging back and forth as a red hue covered her face. An obvious sign that she was already drunk though that was to be expected when she literally drank four cans of beer over a few hours.
"You're going to be a detective, right? I actually heard that from Jun..." And there goes the woman sleeping on the table, her face squished against the wooden table while her hand still clutched onto her can of unfinished beer.
