"Hey bitches!" I proclaim to the Slytherin house as everyone starts coming into the common room, it's 7 o'clock, they probably want breakfast.
"Um. Good morning?" Draco Malfoy says.
"I just love the word bitches. We were never allowed to say it when I was young. Nowadays it's perfectly normal!" I tell them, and everyone shoots me a weird look.
"Yoo hoo! Bloody Baron! Come out come out wherever you are!" I call, bored of my housemates already. They really are boring.
The Bloody Baron nervously flies out of a wall and kneels in front of me. "Hello Princess."
Everyone turns towards me and gasps, they all know the Bloody Baron doesn't bow to anyone. Except my family. "I don't see what's so surprising bitches. I AM Selena SLYTHERIN. My family commands respect, like a lot of it."
"Anywho," I continue, "I have some breakfast to eat, so toodles for now. Bitches."
I strut out of the room and down the hall, up the stairs, down another hall, and into the Great Hall.
Gia, Goddy, Howard, Richard, and Rowena are already sitting together at Gryffindor table. We plan to cycle through, today is Gryffindor's day. Lucky Gryffindor.
I sit down next to Gia and give them my winning smile, "Good morning. Bitches. Oh I just love that word!"
Goddy gives me a look, "Selena! You must act with decorum, ettiquitte, be proper! And most certainly don't use such vulgar language!"
"Who died and made you leader?" I sass.
He sits up straight and pierces me with his hard gaze, "Our parents."
I wilt and he smiles, knowing I'll listen. He's our leader. He's not a bad person, it's just, I don't want a leader. We've been brought up to obey what our leader says. Always. Especially us girls. I was supposed to obey Sal first. But he's dead. My twin brother, dead. But's that's not important. It was a long time ago, no need to dwell.
I bow my head to him and whisper, "Of course. Whatever you say."
He frowns, "You know I didn't mean it like that Selena."
"It's how we were raised. You're right, I need to start acting the part of the prestigious Slytherin family's only surviving member. It's my duty to this family to maintain decorum, and keep my reputation up so I can marry. That's the only task I can successfully complete." I reply in a montonous voice.
"Sel, Goddy didn't-" Gianna starts.
I interrupt her, something I wouldn't dare do to a man. "I find myself without an appetite. I think I shall join the house elves in the kitchen until our first lesson. Rowena, may you please bring me my schedule prior to the lesson?" She nods, "Thank you. I shall take my leave."
I turn and walk out, heading for the kitchens. Gianna and I used to spend a lot of time there when we younger. I wonder if some of the house elves still remember us, house elves generally live a long time.
3rd person point of view
Upon the departure of Selena Gianna stands up abruptly.
"How could you treat her like that?!" She cries at her brother.
He doesn't look up from his meal, "Gianna sit down."
To his surprise she ignores him. "No! I'm going to go find her! She's obviously wounded."
"Sit down." Godric grits out.
She turns to leave the room. "Sit." She ignores him and continues on her way.
Godric sighs and stands up, "I'm sorry sister." He delivers a powerful slap to her cheek. "Sit."
Tears welling in Gianna's eyes she returns to her seat and continues eating.
The rest of their meal is silent, and so is the rest of Great Hall. All the students are confused by what happened. Even the teachers remain silent, just as stunned as the rest of the hall.
When they are done they all silently stand and prepare to leave.
Godric finishes wiping his mouth with a napkin. "We will take our leave now. Good day to you all."
The group departs, the girls trailing silently behind the men, who talk quietly to each other.
Harry Potters stares at the door once they leave, still stunned by the commotion.
"What," he says finally, his voice ringing through the silent hall, addressing everyone, "just happened?"
