"I declare you wife and husband." Announces the mayor with a smile.

THE YOUNG MAN DIDN'T HESITATE a single second and grabbed the waist of his beautiful wife. Ji-a's body was now stuck to her husband. She could smell his usual sweet vanilla perfume that she knew so well and couldn't help but smile.

Ethan was getting closer and closer while her cheeks took a pinkish tint when their lips met, celebrating their marriage, their true union. Applause and shouts of joy filled the hall while the two newlyweds ventured out of the building, their eyes full of stars.

November 2021, Georgia - Altanta, 9PM

The heroine sighed heavily before putting away the last moving box. She stopped, looking at the house she had just moved into. The place was spacious, aesthetic and rather pleasant so she smiles, a fake smile.

"Everything's alright, Ji-a?" She heards a high-pitched voice.

Her mother stood right in front of her, her arms encumbered by a lot of flowers bouquets. She continued to smile shyly and nodded while Mrs. Noh put down her numerous plants before hugging her only daughter.

"I know it's complicated, but..." She paused, "There's nothing better for the economy of our company."

"Yes, I understand."

"Of course you do." She kissed her on the temple.

The door of the house opened, making way for Mr. Noh and the Lee family. Ji-a pulled away from her mother's embrace and stood to the side, her face devoid of emotion.

Mrs. Noh happily greeted Mr. and Mrs. Lee, as well and their son : Ethan who couldn't help but look for his wife with his eyes.

"This place is beautiful, it's perfect!❞" Exclaimed Mrs. Lee.

"You're right." Mrs. Noh smiled.

"The children will be so good here... Won't they?"

The couple nodded. Whereas the parents discussed about business and marriage, Ji-a went to the stairs in order to find her personnal bedroom.

It was an arranged marriage, between the only child of the Noh Family, Ji-a and the eldest son of the Lee dynasty, Ethan. Among pressure and manipulation, the girl finally stopped resisting and accepted the marriage but with some conditions, like separate rooms...

The young woman opened the door and everything was already in place : a large bed, a library, a big desk, gigantic dressing... Without forgetting the immense individual bathroom. All this for her and only her.

Despite this luxurious comfort, the protagonist didn't feel anything positive. She was empty and unhappy. The only reason she wanted to become Lee Ethan's fiancée was his family's money and she has never hidden it.

The protagonist hadn't anticipated the fact that sadness would end up consuming her, to the point of making her fortune... Gloomy.

She felt a deep hatred for this family, for this situation... This world. Her dearest dream was always to be free and independent and she never gave up on this goal alter all this shit.

The young woman sat up on her bed and breathed heavily again. No matter how hard it was, no matter the cost cost, Ji-a was going to do anything to achieve this utopian idea.

She was ready to do anything to annuel this marriage. And there are only two ways to annul a marriage : divorce or the death of one of the two spouses.
