It was another beautiful day on Inkwell Isle IV. The Fall air felt crisp as it blew threw your hair.

You were walking to work today. It was a bit of a walk since you live on Isle I, but it's worth it, especially during Fall. This had to have been your favorite walk you've ever had. The trees were lovely, red, orange, yellow, and brown filled your view as you admired them. One of the many leaves fell, it was so gentle and graceful to watch. You walked up and took a look at it. It was a deep shade of red, brown patches were scattered across the leaf. You tilted your head and smiled, the leaf fell out of your hands and back to the ground. You continued your walk to the ferryman, the leaves crunched under you. You walked past the decimated mausoleum, the ferryman greeted you with a smile.

"Morning (Y/n). Isle IV as usual?" he said with a chuckle. "Yep!" you replied as you paid him the toll. He put the Gold in his pocket as you climbed on board. "All set?" He asked. You noded a 'yes' in reply as he began to row the boat. You looked down at the water, it was beautiful. It was clear, you could see all the fishes swarming off as the boat went towards them. You giggled softly at the fish. After a mew for minutes, the boat came to a halt It was your cue to go.

"Thank you! See you later!" you said as you waved to the ferryman. After around 30 seconds of walking, you finally arrived at your job, The Bakery. You opened the door, the bells ringing as you walked in. You took off your coat and hung it up on the coat hanger, the Chef came out with a smile.

"Hello (Y/n)! Beautiful morning, isn't it?" he said as he hugged you You replied with an 'mhm!' as you put on your apron. You always struggled with tying the back, it was never tight enough and always too loose. He saw you struggle and decided to help. He silently smiled as he tied the material into a bow. An embarrassed blush crept onto your face as you muttered out a 'thank you'. An awkward silence filled the Bakery, you decided to ask him something.

"Hey, Chef." you began "Is there anything specific we're baking today? Perhaps something new... or pastries we're running out of?"

"There is! Today we get to make an outer-space-themed birthday cake! The child's birthday party is later today, so we got to get started now!"

"Oooh! That sounds fun!" you walked towards the kitchen "So, what do we need?"

"Well..." He began to explain what you two needed to bake the cake. You couldn't help but blush as you saw the passionate glint in his glassy eyes. 'Jeez... he's so cute!' you thought, a smile formed on your face. "And that should be it! Got all that?" "Mhm!" you replied. You began to retrieve everything for you two: A mixer, a few pans, the ingredients, and some spatulas. While you were doing that, he was preheating the oven and designing the cake.

When you came back with everything, you decided to take a look at the design. It. Looked. AMAZING! You were getting excited about making this cake and so was he. "Alright (Y/n), why don't you make the cake and I make the frosting and the chocolate designs?" "Yes, Chef!" you replied, already getting to work on your cake. It was going to be a bit of work since the design shows it to be 3-4 tiers high, but it would be no problem for you and the Chef.

*Sometime later*

The cakes were finally in the oven! Chef Saltbaker was almost done with making the icing and decorations, you decided to help him get it done. "Hey Chef, what do you need done that I can do?" He looked over at both you and the icing "Well, can you color the icing? I need red, blue, gold, and green." You nodded as you went to go get the food coloring. You grabbed what you needed and came back to the Chef.

After you were done coloring the icing, you noticed the Chef was done making the decorations for the cake. "Thank you, (Y/n)!" he paused, trying to find the right words for what he was about to say. You tilted your head in confusion "What's up, Chef?" "Oh! Can you um... taste one of the icings'? I don't know if I made it sweet enough...." "Sure!" you replied. You grabbed a spoon and tested the icing, the Chef had a semi-anxious look on his face. "So... how is it?" he asked. You chuckled and looked at the ground blushing.

"As sweet as you~"
