~*~Lindsey's POV~*~

The next morning, I pealed my eyes open to find that my new friends were still sleeping in the very same positions they were in last night. We all had fallen asleep in the living room.

It was funny actually.

Giggling very softly I quietly, as a mouse, shuffled to my closet and opened the white double doors to step inside.

After about like twenty minutes I was still looking over my new clothes trying to decide what I was going to wear today, I finally gave up and randomly grabbed the nearest shirt and jeans in my reach. Looking over my shoe choices next, I spotted some blue and white running shoes that I quickly grabbed. Then I hurried to my bathroom. Setting down my clothes I opened the glass door to the shower and turning the knob to hot, the steaming water began to sprinkle out of the shower head. Pulling off my pajamas I stepped in and let the refreshing water fall onto me tired face.

Letting the warm water wash over me I began to relax as I grabbed the shampoo. Pouring a dab into my hand I made a quick job washing my hair.  After using the soap and face wash I was ready for a new day.

I sighed when I was done and opened my eyes once I was done rinsing off my face wash. Turning off the shower I grabbed the fluffy purple towel next to the glass sink, I quietly dried off. After my body wasn't drenched with water, I began to search for the stuff I needed. Hmmm......glancing around, I started to open some drawers and in my search I discovered a drawer filled with make-up, hair clips, and hair bands.

With a massive smile, I turned to look at what my randomly picked out of outfit looked like.

A black regular shirt with a unique design on the lower right corner, made out of sequins and for the jeans just some long dark jeans.

Slipping on my clothes, I turned to do my wet black hair. Picking up a big hair clip I simply twisted up my hair and stuck the clip in the twist. Viewing myself in the mirror, my appearance was absolutely stunning!

Wow, I forgot how striking I looked after my mother died. I mostly covered myself up with jeans and a sweater, to hide all the cuts and purple bruises my father made on my arms, legs. I was so embarrassed about them at school that I just didn't show any skin, even in summer causing every student at my school to think that I'm was a creep.

Taking another look at my reflection, a perfect picture of my mother popped into me head, yes, I was just like her...that is with the fading bruises and my crystal blue eyes with it's touch of glowing gray but I still look exactly like her.

Lost in my thoughts, a soft knock broke me out of them. "Lindsey are you all right?" Jane said on the other side of the door.

"Ah...yeah, will be out in a couple of minutes." I quickly thumbed through the make-up drawer and picked out some concealer and powder foundation that matched my pale skin. I put the concealer on before the foundation for the perfect coverage to hide most of my bruises.

Then after that I dabbed on some mascara and lip gloss. I really don't like heavy make-up on my face. This was probably the only time I've worn mascara.

Opening the door I skipped into the main room, to find that Don and Daniel already there. "Hey, you look happy today," Don said giving me a strange stare. "Uh...yep," I replied unsure how to take that.
