Ah yes. A typical tuesday morning in Alola.
A very hot morning, as usual. Its Alola after all. Problem, She hates the heat. In fact she hates the sun. Very ironic for someone who has been living in Alola for most of her life, but moving on.A girl rises from the slumber she was in and gets up from her bed, her black hair, tangled as if she purposely made knots in it, covering most of her pale face, which has rarely seen the shiny sun of Alola.
She then proceded to put on a dress she picked in her closet without even looking at it for more than three seconds, which was already enough considering most of the clothes in there were copies of the same dress : a mimikyu inspired dress. As she finished ajusting the hood of the dress, she felt a weight jump on her:
-"Alright Mimi, I get it! I'll hurry!"
Her Mimikyu, the first pokemon she ever caught, was getting impatient at the speed her trainer was getting ready, after all who will make her breakfast if her dear trainer isnt awake and ready?Said trainer finally got out of her room and went straight to the kitchen, so her little companion would stop pestering her.
-"Here you go Mimi", she whispered to her pokemon as she put the bowl of food down,"Eat before Miaouss gets to your meal",she added, chuckling to herself.
As she said those words, the voice of an older woman rang through the kitchen:
-"Mia can you come here for a second cupcake?".
-"Mom will you please stop calling me that? Im not 5 anymore you know?" She whined as she reluctantly walked across the kitchen to where her mother was sat.-"Good morning Ma", she said fondly.
Even if she acted annoyed whenever her dear old mom called her "Cupcake" or even "sweety", deep down she was still a child and adored her mom.
-"Your cousin Gloria is on the phone!" She proclamed gleefully.
Mia's cousin, Gloria, was actually more of a extanded parent. Her mom's were cousins, not them. But still, Mia and Gloria were close and good friends. Sometime Gloria would call from Galar, the region she was from, and where Mia's whole family was from actually. Mia's mom moved to alola when Mia and her sister Moon were 5 years old, due to some problems with the girl's dad.Mia picked the phone from her mom's hands:
-"Gloria! Its been a while!" She proclamed enthusiastic, "How are you?"
-"Im doing pretty great!" Answered the girl at the other end, "How about you?"
-"Its way too hot here for me to be fine." Responded Mia.
-"C'mon you say that every time I call you!" Teased Gloria, "But that might actually change soon enough!"
-"What do you mean by that?" Asked Mia, confused.
-"Well I kinda have a proposition for you?"
-"And what would that proposition be...?" Gloria said, not without apprehension.Mia is used to it now, but her cousin always managed to get into... peculiar situations, to say the least. She didnt want to remember that one time where they were both chased by a horde of wild pokemons...
-"Na dont you worry! Its not dangerous or anything!" She assured, "Have you ever heard of the Gym Challenge?"
-"I saw it more than once on television, yes."
-"I was wonderin' if you'd want to take part in it?"She paused for a moment.
Mia's main goal has always been getting stronger. And seeing how her sister had already defeated a whole organisation, with only the help of a few people, It might be quite interesting to participate in a challenge like this. Surely a lot of powerful trainers will be attending?
-"Tell me more."After a long conversation which included all the details of the supposed trip to Galar, the region the Gym Challenge was held in, Mia finally hung up the phone.
-"You two seemed to have quite a lot to chat about!", her mom jokingly said, not having heard the discution.
-"Mom?"
-"Yes Mia?"
-"I want to go to Galar."To be continued.
