Chapter 5 part 4

•Andy POV•

I wake up to see that the sun hasn't even rose yet. I flip my body onto my back but I've got everywhere aching and a stiff neck. I slowly get onto my knees and in a kind of steadily way, I stand onto my feet. I turn to look at Lizzy who is still sound asleep , I got to say she is kinda cute.

Anyways, I really need to walk a bit because I really am quite stiff. Just one thing, if you ever think of getting stranded on an island, find a soft place to sleep because sand is not the best thing to sleep on. But who would plan on getting stranded on island?! That's right, no one! JUST MY LUCK, I HAD TO GET STUCK HERE!! and Lizzy obviously....

"Owww my leg" I mutter whith each step whilst walking by the water. Just then I see something glistening in the moonlight by the water. 'What on earth' I say to myself. I walk to it and pick it up, its a package that has 'fragile' stamped on it but it was crossed out and instead had a sticker stuck on it, that read ''do not open until your birthday, love jesse x'.

Aww well at least it was only the package that was on the plane, I hope. This will probabaly never get to whoever this Jesse was sending it to, so might aswell open it. I sit down on still cold sand, this could take a while to open as its wrapped in layers and layers of plastic!. I wonder if it's something usefull....

•LIZ POV•

I wake up, tired and shivering. I see that Andy has already woken up, obviously I have nothing to do so I should go find him. I see him on the floor fiddleing with something.

"Hey, couldnt sleep?" I ask him groggily.

"Nope, you?

"Nope, I was feeling to cold" I stated

"Do me a favor?, help me open this"

"Yeah sure" He handed me the package "Where'd you find this?" I asked

"I woke up around ten minutes before you, I was walking by the water. Ever since then I've been trying to open it" He said kinda laughing the last bit.

I try to tare it open with my teeth and fortunatley I manage but it tastes salty. "Bleh!, It tastes salty and I've got sand in my mouth!" I say disgusted.

"But its finally open!" Andy screams and snatches it from me to find that its a purple blanket with orange embroidery saying 'To Anna from Jesse x Happy Birthday love!'

"Awwww!" Andy and I coo together

"Thats so sweet, too bad Anna will never get it" I say kind of sad.

"Yeah..." Andy says in the same tone but then chuckles "This Anna chick remindes me of my cousin!"

I shiver and Andy wraps the blanket around both of us.

"Why is it that you're always there when I'm feeling cold?" I ask with a giggle

"I have noooo idea"

We stay like this until sunrise and then Andy says that he's going to go find fresh fruit, because they weren't there when he woke up. Hmmm I wonder why. While Andy was away I got up carrying the blanket with me and went back under the shelter. Shortly after I fell back asleep.

•ANDY POV•

'This surely isn't the same path I used yesterday'. I thought to myself while pushing branches out of the way.

I stop in my tracks as I hear leaves rustling very close by.

Oh no, I've seen this in movies and it never turns out right in the end.

I see a human figure appear and then without wanting to say it I say "Hello!?"

The person had long hair, so it was deffinatly a girl, then again there are guys with long hair...

"Help" she said sounding like she had just gone hoarse.

The girl emerged from the shaded area and stepped out into the only area that was lit with a bit of sunlight. She looked up at me and a small, weak smile appeared on her face. Her clothes were torn, her hair was a mess, she had a few bruises and cuts on her face and one purple-red cut on her leg.

"Are you from the plane crash?" I asked her, unsure if she was going to answer or not. She nodded,yes.

"I thought just my friend and I were the only survivers!" I told her. "Here, come with me, we made a shelter by the water."

I put my arm around her to help her balance as she walks. I hadn't walked very far to get her so we should be quite close.

We get back to the area where Liz and I found land and I set the girl down on the sand. I told her to wait there so I'll get something from her to clean herself with in the water.

I found Lizzy asleep covered by the blanket under the shelter. I won't wake her up for now but I all I came here for is a piece of material. Thats when I look down at the blanket and try and tare a piece. Surprisingly enough I managed and then ran to the girl.

I told her to roll up her torn khaki trousers, so I can clean the cut. Otherwise it would get infected.

Obviously with see water it stings ALOT! But she got through it. After she cleaned her face, then we sat down together talking about how we both got onto this island. She told me she woke up on the other side of the island, I told her my part but I just didn't mention Lizzy until she wakes up. I just had a feeling that there was no need!.

•LIZ POV•

Half asleep I just lay there staring at the palm tree leaves on top of me when I feel a breeze on my feet and I fully wake up to see what it is. My toes were just poking out of the purple blanket. It was torn, I bet Andy tore it.

I get up to go and ask Andy when I hear a familiar laugh. I walk closer to where it's coming and I just see Andy and Sophia laughing together. Thats fine, its not a big dea..... Wait, what. I take another look at the 2 of them. I can't believe it!! I pinch myself just in case I was in one of those regular 'I'm half awake but sleeping' dreams. I also rub my eyes to make sure I wasn't imagining. Turns out I wasn't, so that means... Sophia's NOT dead!!

I run as fast as I can in Sophias' direction, calling her name! She turns around to look at me but doesn't get up to hug me. I sit next to her and hug her so tight she might have stopped breathing for a few seconds!.

I look down at her leg seeing the purple blanket wrapped around it. Then I look up at Andy and tell him "So that why my I woke up with my toes freezing!"

We all start laughing and then Andy says where he found her. I explain to Sophia how Andy rescued me and after that Andy went to go look for food for the second time today.

•SOPHIAS POV•

I personally think luck has always been in my favour but I never thought this much. You know to actually find your best friend; which you think died in the crash and along with her a really cute dude!

By now Andy has come back with loads of Papayas and we all start eating one each. While playing 'I spy' and sing a few songs, Andy spoke about his past and something he hadn't told Lizzy before. His parents where divorced and this happened when he was 11.

"What do we do now?" Lizzy said kind of crankily.

"I say we build something to get off this damn island" Andy stated.

We all agreed and started thinking of a better way than the normal 'SOS' sign.
