Hello there,

So this time I'm dedicating to another reader who was one of my firsts :)

Tuesday - 10 am

Due to yesterdays tragic incident at school, Mr. Thomas, our principal announced that until the damages are repaired, the school will be closed. Therefore, summer holidays have actually started 2 weeks earlier than planned.

I haven't heard from Jake since yesterday, no thank you messages or phone calls of any sort.

"Liz?" Sophia called as I heard her running up the stairs.

"In here" I called out

"Hey" she said, short of breath. Clearly we should both start thinking of hitting the gym sooner or later.

"How'd you get in?"

"Long story short, I waited outside for around 10 minutes until your mum came to open the door with a garbage bag in her hand"

"You do know you could've just sent me a message to come open for you right?"

"Right"

"Stupid" I said as I threw my pillow at her.

"Shut up" she laughed

"So what exactly are you doing over here at-" I glanced at my phone "9 o'clock in the morning?" I continued.

"I may or may not have won 2 tickets to Rome"

"You're not serious... how?"

"I won the art competition!" Sophia exclaimed.

"Is it really for us two?" I asked, hoping she'd say yes "When do we leave?"

"Indeed it is and erm, in two days"

~~~~~~~~~~~
11 outfits, 5 pairs of shoes and 30 songs later....
"Wow," I said as I plonked myself next to Sophia on the bed
I got no answer or reaction so turned towards her only to find her asleep.
'Now' I thought to myself 'I could either do this the boring way and shake her awake or I can throw water onto her.
I quickly but quietly filed the little beach bucket with cold water.
My little plan worked as she woke up and screamed at me but I couldn't care less as I was in a laughing fit, clutching my stomach.
"Its not funny, go get me a towel, I'm cold" She ordered.
As I got up she grabbed the bucket and threw the rest of the water on me. I should have seen that coming.
"Ha. Who's laughing now?" She teased.
"Jessie J" I joked back at her as I walked out of the room, instantly regretting the fact that I had left some water in the bucket.
On my way to the bathroom, I heard Sophia's phone and shouted "Phone's ringing Soph"
"Yeah i got it"
I grabbed 2 towels and headed back into my room but before I entered I heard Sophia whispering into her phone.
"No I'm not gonna tell her yet, she'll be crushed, yeah I told her about that thing, mhm no worries... yep see ya, bye ok love you, mwah"
I waited a few seconds then waltzed into my room as if I didn't hear any part of that conversation.
"Who called?" I asked pretending to be totally unaware of anything, except the fact that someone called.
"Oh er, um my mum yeah she said that she'll be working the night shift at the hospital tonight, can I sleep here?"
Suspicious much?
"Sure, I'll just let my mum know that you're staying the night, maybe she can get us some pick up some Domino's Pizza on the way back from work"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We went downstairs and into the kitchen. Mum hadn't arrived with the pizza yet so we decided to find a way to pass the time.

"Hot chocolate?" I offered

"Yeah extra marshmallows too"

15 minutes and 2 mugs of hot chocolate later, I handed Sophia the mug of almost cold hot chocolate. Turns out I have to improve my cooking skills too...

"Thanks" she mumbled under her breath.

"No prob gal" I said in a Texan accent which earned a giggle from her.

"So who ya texting this time?" I nudged her with my shoulder as I sat down on the couch, with my hands wrapped around my mug.

"Christina and mum" she casually stated.

Then I heard the front door open and a smell of warm pizza wafted around the room.

I greeted my mum as I took the pizza into the living room.

Two X-factor filled hours later Sophia and I decided to get an early night.
But I couldn't help but ask Sophia why she sounded so suspicious after the phone call earlier.

"I didn't sound suspicious, even if I did, I definitely didn't want to come across as suspicious"

"Sure" I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

Everything after that was a blur. But the thought of the phone call lingered until I drifted off to sleep.
