♡"CAN YOU PLEASE BE MORE THOROUGH WITH YOUR REPORTS?" Setting the pile of papers gently on her desk, she breathed out a sigh with a slight chuckle while sitting in the leather chair behind her work table. "This isn't something you should rush. Sloppy paperwork will only result in the worse for the people, and we don't want that." Her voice soft but stern to leave an impression on her fellow co-worker.
"Yes of course, Lieutenant. My apologies, I'll fix it up right away." The officer bowed hastily to their superior. They swiped the pile of papers off the desk and escorted themselves out of the office however not closing the office door.
Another figure had walked into the day lit office. The blinds fully opened and the window even letting in some fresh air in the space. Greenery sat on top of the shelves that organized a plethora of different publications on criminology, criminal law, and everything in between. Picture frames occupied empty spaces on the tall shelf, some with friends and very few with family. The desk itself was neat for the most part. A pile of finished papers on the corner of the desk flagged with a pastel yellow sticky note with "Finished!" written in a dying ballpoint pen. A monitor in the corner of the desk. A few technological things astray on it.
"Did you send them out because the report was half-assed?" He laughed, closing the door behind him. He watched the young lady get up from the chair and pick up the files from her desk. "Then I assume all these have been double checked and reviewed by L/N themselves?"
The lady herself was dressed in a white loose fitted button up that was neatly tucked into black, high waisted dress pants. A simple silver buckled belt cinched their waist nicely. Nothing quite like usual blue uniform that most officers wear. Whilst being lieutenant, she doesn't do much patrolling since her field of expertise lies with the captain in the major crimes division.
"They are, dimwit." She commented with a straight face, handing the stack over.
"Hey, watch your words kid. I'm still your superior here." He warned with an eyebrow raised. "Captain," He pointed at himself, "Lieutenant." He moved his finger to his subordinate who couldn't look more displeased with this conversation.
They chuckled simultaneously. "Apologies, Captain Morgan." They rolled their eyes at the formality. The audible ringtone quickly dissipated the mood in the room. She glanced at her phone on the desk, looking at the caller ID that read 'Wing.' "Sorry, I have to take this." They hurriedly picked up the phone and pressing the accept button.
Darius nodded, "We'll be out in 10, make it quick." He added while stepping out of the office to give his colleague some privacy on the phone. The door clicked shut when he left.
"Did Marius call you?" Rustling could be heard from the other end of the call. It sounded much like papers shifting and being picked up and being examined.
