Chapter 6: A Storm of a New Chapter

Luffy and the Strawhats pirates come across a bad storm. The crew scrambles trying to get everything tied down. However Robin tries to calm Merry down but Merry kept on crying. No matter what Robin tried Merry wouldn't calm down. The storm grew stronger, Merry was so scared by the loud thunder and lightning that she couldn't stop crying. With everything was tied down Frankie grabbed the helm and took the root Nami told him. Robin, Chopper, and Usopp took Merry down below to Robin's room to see if there was anything they could do to stop Merry from crying. Chopper and Usopp tried and did their imitations of the other crew members that Merry liked so much, but still no changes in her crying. Sanji came in bringing Merry a hot cup of milk to help calm her down.

Sanji: "Hey you guys I brought the princess some hot milk."

Merry just tossed her glass on the ground and cried. Robin tried to read to her favorite book, it always made Merry fall asleep. However there was still no luck.

Usopp: "I got an idea I'll be right back."

Usopp left the room and came back with Brooke.

Usopp: "Hey Brooke try playing Merry's favorite song."

Brooke: "Ah good idea then I will play."

Brooke rosined up his bow and started to play.

Brooke: "~Yahoo… Yahoo~"

But Merry kept on crying. Nami came down all wet from the rain from the storm.

Nami: "Can you guys stop messing around and come help. The one of the sails came undone and we're drifting off course."

The Guys: "Yes Ma'am."

Sanji: "Anything for you Nami-swan."

Everyone left back up on deck leaving Robin and Merry alone in the room. Robin tries desperately to get Merry to stop crying, but no matter what she did Merry kept on crying. Robin started to lose faith as a mother and almost crys herself. Coming from the hallways someone was walking towards Robin's room. When the door opened Robin saw a soaking wet straw hat, Luffy walks over to Robin and Merry. He then took off his hat and placed it on top of Robins head so that Merry wouldn't be able to see the tears in her mothers eyes.

Luffy: "Hey Merry you seem scared."

Merry nods at Luffy. Luffy placed his hand on top of her head and gave her a big fat goofy strawhat grin.

Luffy: "Don't be, because I'll beat this storm and show it who's boss. So stop crying, ok? You Hear Me Storm! I'm Going to Kick Your Ass for Making My Nakama Cry!"

Luffy yelled out at the storm and ran off on deck to fight the storm. Robin giggled at what her captain said as she wiped away her tears. She remembered the time that he came a saved her from her own death even if it did mean raging war with the whole world government.

[Flash back]

Luffy: "Robin! There's still something I want to hear you say, tell me that you want to live!"

Robin: "I want to live!"

[End flash back]

A light blush grew on Robin's face as she thought more about Luffy. When she came out of her fanatics and saw that Merry had stop crying. She could see that even though Merry was still scared she tried her best keep herself from crying. To show that she too could be brave burring a bad storm. Then in a light voice Merry said one word that no one would have guessed.

Merry: "Pa…Papa."

The blush from before then grew into an even brighter shade of red. Robin didn't know what to think of what she had just heard. Just then Nami came in.

Nami: "Hey Robin the storm finally passed you guys can come on up and join everyone."

Nami saw Robin's face; it was as red as a cherry.

Nami: "Hey Robin are you feeling alright?"

Robin: "Y-Yeah I'll be up in a minute. Here why don't you take Merry with you?"

Nami grabbed Merry and walked back to the top deck, leaving Robin to her thoughts.

Robin: "W-What am I going to do?"
