To begin an rp, simply ask or state you'd like to rp, and add the name of your character you will be using.
Example:
"I would like to rp, using <your OC>!"

Scenario:
Your OC is going about their day, and as they are walking, they suddenly trip over something. They fall face flat onto the ground, which is surprisingly soft.
As they sit up and recover, they notice they are somewhere completely different. They're sitting on soft, bright green grass in some odd pocket dimension. They hear a gasp, and turn around to see someone staring at them, holding a growling black cat.
