I followed the path until I reached a village this was the home of the Mantis Tribe. Mantis's walked around and some even fought each other for fun the younger ones slept peacefully most of the time.
Once I entered everything seemed to get angered at me.
Mantis: "Intruder!"
Mantis: "We will show you fear!"
Excursion: "You have some NPC dialogue I bet I can even predict what you will say next."
Mantis: "What the hell is an NPC?"
A mantis dashed at me while bringing its claw down. I got hit by the attack but counterattacked by kicking the Mantis's knee with all of my strength.
The Mantis's knee snapped inwards it didn't scream out in pain but actually looked excited instead.
Mantis: "This one is strong! Make sure not to hold back brothers!"
I then saw reinforcement arrive I knew that I wouldn't survive if they all attacked so I retreated. I fled trying to escape the village but it turned out that they blocked the exit.
So I was forced to go deeper into the village. I dodged a flying mantis that tried to stab me I got hit by a charging one but I shrugged off the pain and headbutt him.
This was repeated until I reached a hole they didn't want to get near me anymore and instead kept their distance.
I decided to heal up since they weren't attacking. 'Alright so if I want to focus I got to crouch right?' I thought while crouching I managed to focus filling my HP bar.
I then went down the hole and found myself in a massive room.
Mantis Lord: "Hmm what a small bug I wonder how strong it must've been to make it this deep into our village."
I looked up to see four tall figures sitting down in thrones. One had a face of interest that was the one who spoke the others stood there waiting for me to do something.
Excursion: "Look I came here to get a mantis claw if you can give me it. I can be out of your hair."
Mantis Lord: "HAHAHAHAHAH! Oh, it has been a very long time since an intruder spoke to us like that. But since you want it so much then prove to us that you are worthy."
She said that while standing up and taking out her nail she appeared beside me and dashed forwards her nail was ready to pierce through my chest.
I took out my nail and sidestepped I then hit her in the side with my nail. She then appeared on the wall she threw her nail at me I jumped over it and watched as it came back to her like a boomerang.
Once she grabbed it she dashed at me and hit me with the butt of her weapon. She sent me flying but I managed to regain my balance and strike back with a ghost.
Mantis Lord: "You can cast spells this makes this much better!"
She said while completely dodging the ghost. She then started to attack me rapidly she dashed at me from the sides piercing my arm.
Mantis Lord: "React Quicker!"
She appeared above me she brought her nail down and I blocked it with mine but she overpowered me.
Mantis Lord: "Weak!"
She then threw her nail at me I dodged it but she then appeared in front of me and kicked my face.
Mantis Lord: "Expect The Unexpected!"
She appeared above me again I blocked it with my nail and put all of my strength into pushing her back.
I managed to stop her attack she then appeared beside me and tried to kick me but I managed to slide under her and stab her leg.
She then dashed at me despite her wounds I jumped above her and kicked her head. I and the Mantis Lord clashed together in the middle of the arena.
Our nails locked together with both sides trying to overpower each other. I moved forward slowly the outcome was now clear I was going to be the winner of this battle.
I moved back and slashed at her she fell onto the floor defeated she stood up and bowed.
Mantis Lords: "Your skills are impressive you provided an amazing battle. I will lead you to the Mantis Claws."
She then took me to a supply room she grabbed a Mantis Claw and handed it to me. As a sign of thanks, I bowed.
I walked out of the supply room and began to walk down to the sewers. The mantis's that I met bowed before me it made me feel like a king I then made it to the sewers.
There was a massive gate with multiple locks I walked to one of the locks and began to use my nail to unlock it.
I actually managed to open the gate I then walked in and closed the gate.
Murky water dripped down from the rusty walls I moved forward with water hitting against my legs. The foul smell of waste hit my nose I covered where my nose used to be and continued.
I then saw a white figure I prepared my nail. The figure made slurping sounds it then turned around and looked at me. It began to flail its arms while running at me I cut the Flukemon in half.
Both halves got up one grew wings and sharp fangs whilst the other just grey fangs. They both came after me I stabbed the flying one in the mouth and I used Gello on the small one instantly killing it.
I then took the dead body off of my nail and searched the bodies for anything useful. The stench of the dead bodies was horrid they smelt like gasoline 'Is everything in the sewers going to smell bad?' I thought.
I found nothing within the bodies unsurprisingly the only thing that I got out of that was more XP. I stood up and walked forward the swishing of water echoed throughout the sewers.
