I just woke up to see that Charlie is spam texting me. What could he want this time? It seems important so I guess I should answer him.

If you couldn't tell Charlie is my best friend. We have known each other since the 2nd grade. I was sitting outside at recess and he came up to me because he saw I was alone. He offered to play a game with me and ever since then we have been the best of friends. As you can tell from the text he is gay. He always comes to me with his boy problems. Sometimes he can be kinda annoying with it but he is my best friend I don't wanna turn him down.
The last relationship Charlie was in wasn't that great. It was really toxic. His ex used to get really mad at Charlie for no reason then say things to him like "Your worthless!", "Nobody likes you!", "The world would be better without you!!". After they broke up Charlie stayed over for a few weeks. He was so upset and I felt so bad. I sat with him everyday to comfort him until he was better.
Charlie has had it pretty rough ever since he came out as gay. He came out to his mom first and she supported him and was so happy for him. He told his dad next and his dad just went silent. The day after he told his dad he woke up to his mom crying. He went to his mom and asked what was wrong and she told him that his dad had packed all his stuff and left. After that day his mom blames him for his dad leaving.
Man I feel bad for Char. Sometimes I just want to go up and give him a big hug and let him know how much I care for him. If only he knew.
