The Big House was quieter than usual. That was because Mr D wasn't there for once. I had no idea where he was, and neither did Ekiya and Ezen. But Chiron was there. To be honest, I didn't really want to see him. He had made my life a living hell. It wasn't fair.
And I also had those dreams to worry about, especially the one about Hera. She hadn't sounded happy in the slightest. I sat down on a chair with my two friends next to me. Chiron sat (somehow) on the opposite end of the table, looking annoyed.
His eyes met mine and I knew he was angry. So in an attempt to make him not look angry, I told him everything about my dreams.
When I was finished, he sighed. He looked sadder than usual. No, he looked angrier than usual. Chiron wasn't normally angry. Sure, he was strict and all, but he was still kind. But now he looked like he wanted to kill everyone at camp. He looked terrifying.
"The first trial. They've begun, haven't they?" I was really confused, but I knew if I asked about the prophecy, they wouldn't give me any answers. I would have to figure it out myself.
"Poseidon's trident has been stolen. We do not know how or why, but someone has stolen it."
"Yeah, I pretty much knew that part already." I replied sarcastically, though he didn't look amused."Poseidon has accused Zeus of stealing it, and not without reason. A few years ago, Zeus accused his brother of stealing his master bolt when really it was Luke Castellan. I fear that it may be the same now, but I also have a belief that Ares has done it. He was a culprit last time. He must have gotten one of his children to do it for him. And Ares won't exactly want to meet you in person. He's been on edge since the master bolt incident, so there's only one way you can get to him. You must seek out Deimos and Phobos and defeat them in combat. It's the only way to recover the trident."
"Why do I have to do it? Why can't that Percy Jackson guy do it?" None of this made any sense to me. Chiron wasn't exactly making a lot of sense, was he?
"Percy has been through enough. He's been to Tartarus and back." Yeah, okay. So maybe Percy didn't have to come, but the least he could do was help me.After all, I was technically his little sister. He should've been helping me before I even discovered who my dad was. If he was famous, he would've known who my father was, right? But I knew that no matter how much I begged, Percy wouldn't be coming on the quest.
"You will have to choose your quest members. They can be anyone you wish, so choose wisely. They will be with you all the way." I didn't even have to think about it. My two fellow quest members were right there with us. Ekiya and Ezen.
They both seemed shocked when I looked at them, but they quickly dismissed it. Chiron stood up from his chair and he went back to his centaur form.
"You will be leaving tomorrow. We can take you as far as New York. Then, you're on your own. I will give you one hundred dollars in mortal money."
After Chiron explained everything, I ran to the Hera Cabin. I had to find Isabel and tell her everything. But when I reached cabin number two, she wasn't there. Nobody was there. The place was empty. I went around camp asking if anyone had seen Isabel, but nobody had.
Not even Ekiya, and Isabel was literally Ekiya's best friend. It just seemed unusual. Apparently, I would have to consult the oracle at camp to receive a prophecy for the quest.
As I was walking to her cave, I prayed that the prophecy wouldn't say something about any of us dying or something.
Rachel Elizabeth Dare was just sitting in her cave when I went to her. She had emerald green eyes, slightly lighter than mine, and frizzy, red hair. She was wearing a white t-shirt, though it was all covered in paint. Rachel just wore plain jeans. She stood up when she saw me.
