What in all of hell did I just say?! 'It's kind of cute that you stutter,' my ass! What the fuck is wrong with me... he's gonna think I have feelings for him!

"W-w-what? I-I... I didn't expect it to be flattering, I've always thought that it was somewhat of an annoying habit--," Midoriya muttered, trying not to choke on his words as they entered and exited his mouth, as I tried to look Midoriya in the eye, trying to read his face. When he noticed that he was muttering to himself, he immediately stopped and looked me in the eyes as I was doing to him.

"Ah... Sorry," I said. "I didn't mean to say that."

"Oh," Midoriya said, breaking eye contact and looking down to the hands now in his lap.

"Hello, I'm Monika. I'll be your waitress today," The waitress said with a tainted grin. "What can I get you two, to start out with?" She asked taking out a small notepad and pen.

"I-I'd like to have a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream," Midoriya said, directing his attention to the waitress.

"Of course--" She uncapped her pen and wrote down his order-- "and you?" She then turned her head to face me.

"I'll have some coffee," I said.

"Oh! That reminds me... if you're looking to order a coffee, might I suggest our sessional peppermint dark chocolate expresso?" I took a minute to think about the waitress's remark.

"Sure," I finally say.

"Okay! I'll be back with your drinks in just a second," She says as she finished writing our orders down, walks away, the white bow in her hair bouncing up and down as she walked.

Out of the corner of my eye, I notice Midoriya eyeing what seemed to be my scar. Gosh, he's really interested in it, isn't he... I thought to myself as he looked away, noticing I was looking back at him.

"So... do you have a sweet tooth?" I asked.

"Yes, actually. Though, I'm trying to limit the sugar I eat, I can still get carried away and eat too much of it--if you know what I mean," Midoriya said, slightly laughing at his answer.

"Is it when you allow yourself to eat a bunch of junk and sugar but then the day after you've eaten all of that sugar, you end up feeling like crap?" I asked, genuinely unsure what he was alluding to.

Midoriya looked at me with a goofy grin and snorted, with a fit of laughter following. I could feel a small smile form on my face. His laugh is just so pure, I thought as Midoriya's laughter calmed down.

"You have it right on the money," Midoriya said with a wide smile across his face.

"That's good. I wasn't completely sure." I said looking to the side.

"Here are your drinks! Please enjoy it." The waitress suddenly said, placing out drinks onto our table.

"Thanks," we both said.

"Have you decided what else you're going to order, or would you like more time?" The waitress asked, smiling.

"Uhm... Yes? What about you Todo?" Midoriya questioned.

"Yes, I'd like the 'câlin sandwich,' but with no lettuce."

"Mhm." The waitress then turned to Midoriya.

"I'm going to have bacon and eggs, and if possible, a sugar cookie would be nice if that's alright," Midoriya politely stated.

"I'll be back with your food in a bit then," the waitress said, putting the notepad and pen she had back in her apron and walked away.

"Do you know what 'câlin' translates to, Todo?" Midoriya asks looking excitedly happy.

"No, what?" I ask.

"Câlin,' in French, translates to 'hug.' Kinda cute actually." Midoriya said, smiling at me.

"So it'd be 'Hug sandwich' then. Cute," I responded, taking a big sip of my drink.

"Told you," Midoriya said.

We spent a few minutes talking while waiting for our food. It turns out Midoriya's homeschooled by his mom, and since he has so much free time on his hands, he's able to try and learn new languages. I also found out that he likes superheroes-- though I could already tell from both the beanie and hoodie that he was wearing. Finally, our food came.

"It looks super good! Thank you," Midoriya said, greeting the waitress.

"You're welcome," she said as she slowly turned to walk away.

"Hey, Midoriya?" I asked.

"Hm?"

"Could I have a small piece of your cookie?" I asked, expecting him to say no.

"Sure, just give me a second. I wanna actually eat some of my food first," He said smiling. "Je me demande..."

I gave Midoriya a confused look. Was that French? I thought to myself.

"What does that mean?" I asked him trying to get a response.

"Just talking to myself."

Saying nothing in return, I continued to eat my sandwich. "Hey, what other languages do you know?" I asked.

Midoriya looked up at me saying, "I'm fluent in about three, not including English." He took a bite of his eggs right after. "French, Japanese, Spanish, and I'm currently learning Filipino and Korean."

"That's cool. You have a really diverse range of languages if you think about it," I said before taking another bite of my sandwich.

"Yep."

"What do you like doing in your spare time, Todo?" I said, knowing that I'd probably already know the answer to this question.

"Well... Work and schoolwork I guess. I don't really do anything other than that," Todoroki said, having finished his food. I broke a piece off of my cookie and put it on his now-empty plate.

"Do you like any of the arts?" I asked.

"Mm, Music I guess. I played clarinet and guitar a few years ago. I could probably pick it back up if I tried, but personally, I'd rather not," Todoroki answered, looking down.

'I'd rather not...' I wonder why that is, I thought.

As I took the last bite of my eggs, I felt my stomach start to hurt. "I-I need to run to the bathroom real quick. I'll be back in a sec," I said as I got up. Not even giving Todoroki a chance to respond, I started speedwalking to the bathroom.

As soon as I got into one of the bathroom stalls, not even bothering to lock it, my stomach gave out and I threw up. I heard someone else enter the bathroom as I continued to throw up whatever was in my stomach.

Why is this happening? Why was I throwing up all of a sudden? Was I sick? Maybe.

"... Midoriya, is that you? Are you okay?"

Why is Todoroki in here? I thought as I heard a knock on the stall, it opening just a few seconds after. Behind me was Todoroki, looking at me on my knees throwing up into a toilet. I was in a disgusting state, both mentally and fiscally.

"What are you doing? Just go sit back dow--" I paused, throwing up again-- "I'm fine, just go sit back down at the table. I'll be out in a second," I said, my voice weak from my stomach acid burning my throat.

"You're obviously not fine. I'll go get someone," Todoroki said as he walked out of the bathroom stall.

"Wait-" I threw up again. You don't need to worry about me, I'm fine, I thought, whilst still hanging over the toilet bowl.

"This sucks."
