Each hallway is like a maze to her and each room equally confusing.
"Stay with me at all times until I tell you to stay somewhere okay?" She nods.
He stops in multiple rooms, grabbing boots and a pair of overalls, gloves and mismatched items. Each time, she waits at the door for him.
He has her sit in a chair to put on the overalls and boots before they move on. He ties the laces for her as she folds the pant legs.
They pass into an even larger hallway and what she sees she isn't prepared for. All of the noise she heard seems to collect here, in a massive cavern of moving belts and steam. There even seemed like there was water down below them. She couldn't remember ever feeling this small. He notices she's stopped and walks back to her.
"Don't worry about all that yet, okay? Once we get you out of Miranda's hands, I can show you around and it won't feel so scary. I promise."
"I'll get to stay with you here?" Her jaw falls a bit and he stares at her.
"That's the plan…" He clears his throat and looks away from her.
He tugs her along, up some stairs, and finally they come to a place that looks more like a garage used for storage than the workshop looking areas she'd seen before. There are cluttered workbenches and shelves full of books and boxes.
He drags out a chair and it scrapes the floor.
"Sit here…" She does.
He walks over to a desk and pulls out some large papers. After sticking pins in them, they float to the adjacent wall and fasten themselves to it. There are 4 photos in all. First, a colored poster of a caged mask that gives her chills. A woman with roses on her chest and a large hat on her head. A monstrous looking blob with a face draped in clothes. And a silhouette of a dress with a doll sitting on it. Heisenberg opens a marker and walks over to the wall, scribbling "Mother" "Witch" "Fish man" "Doll" before closing it and tossing it to the desk. He turns to her, leaning against it. He takes a strong drag before starting.
"Alright, now… you're going to be meeting these freaks tonight." He turns his thumb in the direction of the photos. "So just in case they all decide to show up, you'll already know what to expect." He points at the largest photo, the one with the mask.
"That's Miranda. If you want to stay alive, you won't talk unless she asks you to answer her, okay?" She nods fearfully.
"This bitch…" He sticks his cigar to the lipstick Witch woman. "Dimitrescu. Huge. Thinks she owns everything. If you end up at her castle, she'll drain your blood, so don't think she's actually being nice to you or anything." Nod.
"That repulsive shit is Moreau." It's Fish man. "He's as disgusting as he is stupid… Try not to let him get too close to you." Nod.
He leans over to jab a finger at the silhouette while he smokes.
"The lady under the rags is Donna. Real quiet. She communicates through this ugly-ass doll, calls her Angie… it's creepy and annoying as fuck. Don't be afraid of her." Nod.
He stamps the cigar out on the table and looks at her.
"Miranda wants to test you tonight. So you have to be ready." She picks nervously at the gloves he gave her. "But don't worry. We'll see what you can do here first, and then there won't be any issues." He notices her fidgeting. "Okay?"
She nods, distracted by the way his arms are crossed.
"You can still talk, right?" Her eyes go wide.
"Uh- yes! Yes, sir…"
He raises an eyebrow at the formality.
"Alright… well, good…" He clears his throat and pushes off the desk.
"Let's get going then."
