~Anthony's pov~

"Childern you are making a scene" Mama scolds softly, before I could get a word in we are interupted

"Lady bridgerton, miss bridgerton, lord bridgerton" greeting me with so much displeasure almost taunts a smirk to appear on my face

"I believe you have already been introduced to my daughter, Daphne, Lord Ambrose."

"Yes we met at your brothers levee" my shoulders sense slightly at the way he observes my sister.

"His first and only I believe" I cut in, hoping he would leave

"In that case let's hope his lordship has found himself a new horse" Daphne smiles breaking the tension I so desperately wanted placed in this discussion

Unable to look at Ambrose charmed expression and my mother and sisters smiling faces any longer I blurt out

"I have not had the pleasure of
seeing you at our club lately,
Ambrose. Should it have anything to do
with the unpaid balance you left
on our betting books winter last?
You remember that, yes? I do." He holds my gaze before nodding and walking away, unable to stop myself a smile over takes my face. Before turning to look at Daphne

"Lord Ambrose is a cheat. A man
of any honor ensures his debts
are fully paid." I state to avoid my mother speaking up about my disrespectful manner in which i spoke to lord Anbrose in

"I did not realize..." Daphne responded

"How could you have done? It is
the very reason why I am here,
sister. Let us take a turn about the room" I gently take ahold of her arm, not remembering when Madelyn had disappeared I quickly ask

"Did you see where our dear Maddy walked off to" glancing around the room

"I can't say I have, I think it was while you were trying to scold me as though I am a child" not wanting another argument to begin I choose to instead try find her.

I notice her bold dress amoungest all the pale almost immediately, instead of a smile making its way onto my face in seeing such a beauty radiating nothing but happiness, a scowl takes over instead noticing the reason she is smiling is because of a man. Not seeing who this mystery person is I continue making my way with Daphne glancing at Madelyn more frequently then I should, and each time the rage inside me seems to only grow

As various men seem to take a liking to my sister I can't help but to note my displeasing options on all of them. My sister deserves more then any of them could give her, though my reasons come from a good place I realize how agitated Daphne is getting before either of us could make another scene

"Anthony! Daphne!" Was heard. Turning to meet the faces of their brothers with a sigh I respond

"If the only upstanding gentlemen
present this evening are your
brothers, then we are in a great
deal of trouble indeed." Finding amusement in our clumsy brothers

"You continue to say we, yet--" Daphne gets interrupted by our brothers arrival

"Did mother tell you yet? About
my tour? I am to begin in Greece." Colin says rather quickly from his place next to Daphne

"Greece? How adventurous, Colin. Maddy will be quite pleased with your placement" daphne compliments with a graceful smile

"On guard."i nod toward an approaching Lady Danbury. As the
boys immediately look for an exit--

"Too late. I already noted you." Landy Danbury states, not amused on any front by our childish behavior.

"Lady Danbury!, Good evening!, Lovely to see you!" We all state rather quickly
