The magnolias sat around in the brigertons dining table for their weekly dinner joined by the Duke himself. With Simon to her right and Grayson to her left she felt as though she was a child again, Anthony sat in front of the young Magnolia girl stealing glances every so often at the beautiful smile her face seems to hold so gracefully. Although the parents are having a conversation of their own not paying attention to what their children are saying, Charlotte couldn't help but notice the loving looks the oldest bridgerton is giving her daughter.
"For all we know, Whistledown may be some interloper living in Bloomsbury of all places." The oldest bridgerton laughs
"What should be so terrible about Bloomsbury? Is it because people there actually work for a living?" Benidict asks, making Madelyn giggle slightly, causing Anthony to smile as he stares at her in awe
"She does seem to be someone with access." Daphne states
"Who knows if Whistledown is even a she?" Colin asks
"Fair point." Anthony agrees, which makes Maddie chuckle slightly knowing Eloise was thinking the same thing as the young bridgerton girl gave her a look from across the table.
"Oh, because she is simply too good to be anyone but a man?" Eloise leads forward slightly daring anyone to disagree with her
"I think it rather obvious that the writer is Lady Danbury." Francesca voices
"Lady Danbury enjoys sharing her insults with society directly. She would never bother herself writing them all down, she likes the recognition. That woman has more bravery then every man in the country put together, I doubt she would cower behind a piece of paper to voice her thoughts" I speak out with slight admiration
And at that, Anthony smiles knowing she is just the same, his eyes must have lingered too long as not only did Simon spot the love struck boy but the bridgerton Viscountess sent an amused grin in her son's direction, not one he seemed to catch as his gaze did not fall until his sister spoke up.
"Could it be Lady Featherington?" Hyacinth asks
"No." They all reply at once and their collective answer makes them laugh. Hyacinth eyes them, confused.
"You have yet to read what Whistledown writes of the Featheringtons, little sister." Eloise explains. As the Duke and viscountess finish their quite conversation, Daphne and Simon seem to quietly banter though Madelyn doesn't realize to caught up in the conversation with Eloise not noticing the gaze that was frozen on her.
"I think whoever she may be" She starts, turning to Anthony only to find his eyes already on her
"I believe she is a bloody genius" Madelyn state leaning back in my chair as Eloise giggles in agreement
