·~· If needed, make a copy of that list for the story. In the future, I am probably going to make everything clearer, as in all the symbols and what they mean. You don't have to do this, however, it's just recommended. ·~·

As a child, Ku was taken in by the Jin clan of Lanling. It was a very surprising addition to the clan as the outsiders were often kept incredibly separate, however it wasn't by chance. As a child, Ku was extraordinarily talented.

"Right, that's enough!" The whole room flooded with silence. It was a new generation of schoolers this year, and it has been decided that once again they would study in the Gusu Lan clan residence. Each schooler wore a neatly tied white and baby blue robe, with one rope tied tightly and neatly. Each schooler had neat, dark hair and amazingly soothing voices of which were taught to be extremely (though reluctantly) disciplined within the first few months of learning cultivation here. At this moment in time, they were supposed to give offerings as thanks from the clans to the Lan family for teaching them. All were well disciplined. All except for a handful.
There was a two young men from the Jiang family: Jiang Cheng and Wei WuXian. Jiang Cheng usually led by example, apart from his eye rolls and momentarily distracting outbursts at his adopted brother, Wei Wuxian. Wei WuXian was known to cause trouble. He enjoyed flirting with anyone he though could be flattered easy, he enjoyed breaking rules and sneaking off and more importantly he enjoyed nagging the second son of the Lan family, Lan Wangji, with his best friend: Nie Husiang.
"You, Wei Wuxian!" Glances bore through the teens skull as he twirled a handful of his hair around his finger. "Haven't I told you time and time again to sit up straight and be silent? Just look at those around you! Follow their examples! Do as your told!" Lan Qiren: a highly respected figure from the Lan Clan, hit the desk of which was made of dark and cared for wood at the front of the room before turning his back to the class, "This year is the beginning of a new generation, thus you shall learn the ethics, etiquette and morals from those you'll be expected to take after. Cultivation is not just about fighting power! It is knowledge! It is respectability! Don't you dare think you'll get away acting so high and mighty, you must also adhere to the rules! Now, continue with the introduction-"
As if to cut him off, a messenger from the Lan clan came rushing in, before bowing. "What is it? Make it quick-" A flurry of red-clothed cultivators snarled at the door way, causing the messenger to shudder and flee to the side. This caused quite the ruckus, with aspiring cultivators snarling and grabbing their swords as they stood in a defensive stance around the members of the Wen Clan of Qishan- a very dominant but lethal, power hungry clan.
