chapter 1 // the meet up

it was a typical day. y/n woke up to birds singing and flowers in her hair. but something seems off. this isn't y/n's room. y/n saw a poster in this room that said "cool it".. perhaps this is a reference to a movie? y/n immediately started to panic. then she suddenly heard a knock from the door, "hello? can i come in?" the voice was soothing and y/n didn't feel like she was in any danger anymore. "yes..you can come in." y/n reluctantly said. The door opens and a tall blue haired man walked in. He had a beautiful blue orb and an eyepatch? y/n was head over heels for this man, and she didn't even know his name. "My name is Kaeya, by the way" he said. "o-oh! hi kaeya! my name is y/n!" y/n said.  "that's a very beautiful name, y/n" kaeya answered. y/n blushed, but then she remembered that she's in a strangers house and she started to panic again.

"w-where am i?!" y/n cried. "you're in my house.. i saw you passed out in the streets of mondstadt, and i figured that you might need a place to stay. I walk you back to your house today." kaeya explained. "mondstadt? i've never heard of that place.." y/n started tearing up out of fear. "Hey dont cry now. I'll keep you safe." Kaeya tried reassuring her. That's when y/n noticed a dangly glowing gem with a snowflake on it. "hey what's that gem thing you have?" y/n started to calm down. "you mean my vision? how do you not know what this is?" kaeya was confused. "i've never seen one before.. why do you have it?" y/n was even more curious now. "well, the cryo archon recognised me, and gave me cryo powers." kaeya explained. "powers? powers arent real.." y/n mumbled. "what do you mean? are you even from this world?" kaeya asked her. "i don't think so.." y/n said. she started to tear up again, because not only was she in a new city, but an entire different world. Kaeya comforted her and after a while he offered to show y/n around mondstadt. y/n agreed and Kaeya took her hand and started to show her the city. y/n blushed, and she was now walking around the new yet beautiful city of mondstadt.
