Leon whips the motorcycle to a halt in the gravel driveway. I quickly climb off and hand him the helmet. He follows suit, swinging his leg over the bike and putting the kickstand down. He lifts the seat, grabbing the bags from the pharmacy, before tucking the helmet away.

The front doors fly open before I can take another step. Dominic stands there with his arms folded over his broad chest. His eyes are narrowed and his jaw clenched. I roll my eyes at his overdramatic self, even as heat creeps up my cheeks, and continue to approach him.

"Where the fuck have you been?" he demands an answer.

"Store," I reply, gesturing to the bags.

"No," he shakes his head, "you've been gone too long to have just gone to the store."

I bite the inside of my cheek and glance at Leon. He's completely silent with an indifferent look on his face. He spins the keys around his finger as he walks.

Dom turns his focus to Leon, "what happened?"

"Nothing happened," I reply with a huff.

I brush past him into the house and head for the kitchen. I wonder what kind of tea he has, if he has any at all. A nice cup of chamomile always helps with my cramps.

"I took her to the Viper," Leon says as he strides inside.

"You did what?" Dom exclaims, his deep voice echoing in the foyer.

I turn quickly to face him. It seems his anger has only grown, nostrils flared, staring daggers at Leon. His eyes rake the other man from head to toe and I find myself frozen.

I've never seen Dominic this angry. Ever.

"I had to talk to Jasper," Leon shrugs in response, unaffected by the fury smothering the air, "got some intel for you actually."

Dom's jaw ticks, "toglimi di vista il cazzo."
(Get the fuck out of my sight)

Leon nods once and strides towards the stairs. He stops and looks over his shoulder at me, lifting the bags, "I'll put this in your room."

Dom turns his gaze back to me and I quickly walk towards the kitchen. I can hear his footsteps against the polished floor following me. I choose to ignore him and step into the dining room.

There are men inside, as usual, chatting over coffee with their ties loosened. I watch with amusement as they all compose themselves, heads bowing as Dom trails behind me. Mary is in the kitchen and I greet her with a smile.

"Do you have any tea here?" I ask, "I can make it myself, I just need help finding the tea bags."

"Oh hush," she scolds, waving her hand, "I'll bring it to you. How does chamomile sound?"

"That would be great," I reply, adding, "thank you."

"Ciao Signore Savelli," she smiles past my head.

"Ciao Mary," Dom replies, "she'll be taking her tea in my office."

Mary smiles at me before scurrying into the pantry. I turn to face Dom with a frown. He has no right to be so pissy right now.

"Don't you ever leave this property without telling me," Dom says harshly, "Ever. Do you understand?"

"Yeah," I roll my eyes, "I get it."

"I don't think you do Annabella," he counters quickly, "because if you did, you'd be way more fucking scared right now."

"Nothing happened," I groan, tilting my head back in exasperation, "we went to the pharmacy and then went to some bar for a little bit. It's not a big deal, Dom."
